MAMA PAJAMA - you are one of a kind. I am the luckiest daughter in the world to have you as my mother. You taught me things that are not in any book. How to go into the world, make friends from all countries and cultures, be brave, set the table, serve and clear and take out the garbage. You would take me out of school to go to horse shows or hunting ! (Sorry )
You knew how naughty I was and never suppressed my spirit or told on me when I was pushing your car out of the driveway at 14, smoking your ci******es, endless New York nightclubs and leather jackets - you encouraged it! I have found photos of you- in the 60s with your boyfriend Teddy you were a hot tamale- and then photos of you dressing us in cult-like nightgowns by a salmon, or proper smocked dresses and coats with velvet collars in 1970s England. You discovering your teenage boyfriend Alfio from your wild teenage years in 1950s Florence (with the help of ) and he looked like OBL- Mom you loved to turn on the tunes LOUD and dance and smile, cook and have fun. That was the greatest role model I could ever ask for. You watched me make endless mistakes and were always there to pick up the pieces. I cannot leave out the jokes, messages memes and soft p**n you send to all of my friends basically the whole internet. You are still WILD - and naughty.
I LOVE YOU, don’t ever change. Please don’t worry I will not say the word “gift” until I die.
