So we finally made it to Bulgaria and have settled into our new home, its only been 6 weeks but christ we have worked our bums off!

There's lots to be done but thankfully we bought a renovated property with outbuildings so the work required is cosmetic and just a small building to convert into an annexe.

As we inherited a Jeep with the house purchase we have decided to sell the Ford Ranger back in the UK, will be sad to see it go god we had some great journeys in it.

If anyone wants a Ford Ranger 3.2 already converted for a 5th wheel, message me, have lots of pictures and a video to send. the truck will be back in the UK June.

Well what a year and sorry we haven't posted for a while because our plans changed!

We came back to the UK and sold the 5th wheel. Our various challenges with the rig and our long term goals drove this decision, and ultimately Bulgaria won our hearts a long time ago.

So we have come back to the UK until March before we head out on the road travelling over 2000 miles through, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania and finally into Bulgaria, however travelling alot lighter this time, THANK GOD.

No issues getting fuel due to height restrictions at petrol stations in France or getting onto camping sites because of the size of the rig.

Those dreaded travel days, anxiety attacks just moving the god dam thing I swear the truck seats still have my finger nails scratched into them!

We had a roller coaster blast but that European 🇪🇺 journey thankfully is now a closed chapter.

We will find our Bulgarian dream, a nice rural rustic homestead we can finally call HOME but there's one last journey left in us.. The Long way down to 🇧🇬 Bulgaria!

Sunny but rather windy day leaving France.

What a night, we were rocking in 40mph winds but had a great off grid park up at Olivers Wine merchants in Calais.

Some Fine Wines, a bottle of 12 year old American Oak Ballvenie for Mark in thanks for all the challenges we have over come on this trip!

The Climb to Camping Bardenas!

If you do this same route, I would stop at the Repsol garage just past the border crossing on the AP-8 at Irun because there isn't another one until long after the sea level to 700metre Climb up the A-15.....scenic my Arris!
