Eco-Tech Collaboration Hub Face-to-Face Meeting

On June 11, the Eça de Queirós School Group, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project “Digital Eco-Leadership”, organized a face-to-face meeting to introduce the Eco-Tech Collaboration Hub platform to students.
The main objective of the session was to test the functionality, usability, and effectiveness of the Eco-Tech Collaboration Hub through a pilot implementation.

The activity provided participants with firsthand experience in using the platform for educational purposes, enabling them to identify its strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement while further developing their digital skills and engagement with innovative learning environments.

The meeting also offered students the opportunity to explore the educational content and resources available on the platform, promoting self-directed learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in an online learning context.

During the session, several resources were presented, including:
• Animated Videos covering topics such as the principles of eco-technology, sustainable energy solutions, and eco-entrepreneurship;
• E-learning Pills focusing on digital tools for environmental monitoring, smart waste management solutions, and green transportation innovations;
• Video Tutorials demonstrating the use of specific eco-technology tools and platforms for student projects.

Following the presentations, students actively participated in a debate and discussion, sharing their impressions and feedback on the platform and the learning materials.

At the end of the meeting, participation certificates were awarded to all attendees. Each participant also received a notebook featuring the project logo, followed by a social gathering with refreshments, as is customary at this type of event.

The Digital Eco‑Leadership Project Ranked Eighth at the National Level

Between May 13–17, 2026, the national stage of the “Made for Europe” National Competition took place in Deva. The Digital Eco‑Leadership project, which won first place at the Neamț county stage, was presented at the national level by Sofia Căpățînă‑Groșanu, an 11th‑grade student in class XI‑E, humanities profile, bilingual English philology. The student was coordinated by Dr. Cătălina Tărcăoanu.

The “Made for Europe” Competition is one of the most important events dedicated to showcasing and valuing European projects implemented in pre-university education institutions. The products presented in the competition are created through the contribution of students and teachers involved in European educational programmes and reflect good practices, initiative, innovation, and international collaboration.

At this 18th edition, 122 students from 35 counties, plus Bucharest, are registered in the competition, having qualified after the county stage held at the end of April 2026, according to the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education and Research.

The competition takes place over four days and includes presentations of products developed within European projects, exhibitions, cultural activities, and exchanges of experience between participants from all over the country.

The official opening of the competition took place on 14 May 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Deva Art Theatre. The awards ceremony was held on 16 May 2026, at 3:30 p.m., also at the Deva Art Theatre.

By hosting the national stage of the “Made for Europe” Competition, Hunedoara County reaffirms the importance of investing in education and young people, promoting an educational model based on cooperation, creativity, and European openness.

We extend our thanks to all those who supported the organisation and running of the competition. We express our gratitude to the following institutions and partners for their support: the Ministry of Education and Research, ANPCDEFP Romania, Deva City Hall, Hunedoara County Council, Hunedoara City Hall, the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilisation Deva, the Deva Art Theatre, “Decebal” National College Deva, Adaconi Hațeg, Archia Manor Deva, Villa Noblesse House Deva, and the “Hermes” Mutual Aid Association Petroșani.
