A restituição do Imposto de Renda para declarantes no exterior segue um processo específico. Primeiramente, é necessário que o contribuinte possua uma conta bancária em seu nome em um banco brasileiro autorizado pela Receita Federal do Brasil (RFB) para realizar a restituição. A indicação dessa conta pode ser feita através do PIX, utilizando o CPF como chave. Caso o contribuinte não tenha uma conta bancária no Brasil, ele deve nomear um procurador residente no país. Este procurador, com uma procuração pública, deve ir até uma agência do Banco do Brasil para indicar uma conta bancária, em qualquer banco, onde o crédito da restituição será realizado. Se a restituição não for resgatada dentro de um ano, ela f**a disponível na Secretaria Especial da RFB e será paga por meio de Ordem Bancária do Siafi, para crédito em conta bancária no território brasileiro.
