My dear friends Austėja Liu & Toma have a message for you that I would like to share:

Dear Friends,

Two filmmakers are in need of a help and attention from the people of the Azorean community. We are looking for boats to hike, flying bicycles, or any other vehicles that could take us around the Ilhas! Do you know anyone traveling around or someone willing to contribute and help any other way?

We are Austeja and Toma, filmmakers from Lithuania and Croatia. We are staying in your wonderful Archipelago for the second time this year, for another couple of months to finish what's now become a feature documentary film "The Story of The Ocean.

The film is about our relationship with Nature and its story follows the waves of the sea, the duration of time through pieces of history, traditions, mythology, and art. It dives into the spiritual realm and meaning of the conversation with the environment with the purpose of finding the common good in all of us.

In order to be here in the time of now, we had to risk a lot and to invest a lot of energy, resources and all our dearest ones gave and shared their full support in this endeavor.

However, as documentary filmmakers, we don't have the liberty and luxury to wait the moment until all the funding is in place. We have to act now.

We are on Pico Island at the moment and we already visited Faial. We've met wonderful people, made touching interviews, and spent enriching time both with local people and those who arrived and somehow never left.

We are writing this message hoping it will arrive at a dear soul ready to help us in any way possible to make this happen.

Thank you so, so much,
with Love and Light,

a. and t.
