The focus of ‘Envelope’ is on critical and social responses to mainstream tourism, alternative activities and resistance activities in the city of Porto; as well as the relationships between these activities. The aim of this self-published zine is to connect and share the voices of those who are involved and interested in spreading alternative ideas for the city. This low-budget, non-profit initiative is open for all those who are interested in offering a visual/textual response. We (formal and non-formal groups and individuals) want to show The Other Ways of living and visiting the city. Sharing our cultural offerings and bringing together critical points of view about what is happening around the city of Porto, as well as other cities that became, or are becoming, commercialized for the purpose of tourism. We work in accordance with a non-competitive process - co-creation, collaboration, sharing - and are always guided by the principles of autonomy.
