First time posting. Everyone seems really friendly here, so I figured why not? ☺️
Tonight’s cheap meal because I definitely feel low energy and am preparing for the loads of snow and upcoming week: chicken and broccoli pasta!
I seared chicken breast chunks ($4 for the two breasts), threw in some steamable broccoli ($2 for the bag), and then poured on about 1.5 cups of a mix of heavy cream/chicken bouillon/1tblspn of flour. Seasoned heavily with garlic powder, onion powder, Emeril’s everything seasoning, thyme and oregano (all dry pantry items). Tossed with cooked bow tie noodles ($1 box from Walmart).
I hope everyone had a stress free dinner prep this Sunday! Have a great week!

TURKEYpot pie bake! 😋😋
Recipe:
- Bake at 375 for 25 minutes -
3 cups of cooked Turkey
2 cans Cream of Chicken soup
1 bag frozen veggies (3 cups veggies)
2 cups shredded cheese
2 cans Pillsbury biscuits (5 count)
Grease pan
Mix ingredients in bowl and spread evenly in pan
Then cut biscuits into quarters… toss in 2 tbsp melted butter and spread evenly on top.
I baked until the top of the biscuits were crispy and the mixture was bubbling! Super yum and hubby approved! 👍🏼😁 cheap and easy.

This is one of my favorite cheap meals. One dish! Boil your noodles of choice - we usually do spaghetti. While they’re cooking, heat up some broccoli. Steamer vegetables are a big staple for our busy household. Drain the noodles and return to pot. Add butter. We do a stick for one whole box of noodles. Mix in the broccoli. Add some garlic powder, a little pepper, and Parmesan cheese to taste. Delicious 😋 easy, filling, and fast.

Made the viral Big Mac tacos for dinner tonight 😋 I had all the condiments so for everything else it came out to around $12.
I took some ground beef and seasoned it with salt and pepper, took a tortilla and smashed some of the ground beef onto it. I cooked both sides, added American cheese, then topped it with chopped romaine, onions, and sauce.
For the sauce I used mayo, dijon mustard, sweet relish, a little bit of ketchup, smoked paprika, onion powder, and black pepper
I served with homemade french fries

NOW FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT...
AVOCADO TACOS
Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1 1/2 pounds of hamburger
1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
1 cup of tomato based salsa
1 cup of sour cream
1 cup of finely shredded Mexican cheese blend
1 cup of roughly shredded lettuse
1 package of taco seasoning
Directions
In a skillet brown the hamburger, and the onions, crushing the hamburger up into small pieces. Add the taco seasoning, to suit your taste while cooking.
When the hamburger is done drain and put it into to a bowl.
Cut the avocados in half, and remove the seeds. Carefully remove the avocados from their skins, OR you can leave the outer skins on, your choice.
Put each half on a serving plate with some of the shredded lettuce.
Put the cooked hamburger, onion, and taco seasoning mixture into each avocado half.
Add some salsa, a dollop of sour cream and the Mexican cheese blend on top.
Eat out of the skin using a spoon, or eat taco style if you removed the skins

I found this idea on this group and we enjoyed it. Re-posting the way we did it.
I made turkey roll ups tonight, filled with stove top stuffing. Mashed potatoes and green bean casserole as sides.
Used Korr packet to make turkey gravy. Roasted turkey flavor.
When I went to the deli I asked for dinner thick slices of the turkey! I've seen them thinner which I may try.
Edit - this is deli turkey (BH honey maple, it was on sale). I asked for dinner thick slices.
I cooked the stove top and stuffed these.
Put the gravy over (left gravy on stove for those who wanted more). Baked the dish for 25 to 30 mins @350 degrees (until it was nice and hot).

Pizza Bagels!!
• plain bagels
• butter
• herb/garlic seasoning
• pizza sauce
• mozzarella cheese
• pepperoni & banana peppers
I took 1 and 1/2 bagels and added butter and herb and garlic seasoning straight on it. Then added pizza sauce, mozz. cheese, and pepperonis and banana peppers. (obviously you can make it however you like it). Baked at 375 for 10 minutes and broiled on 400 for 2 minutes.
Such an easy meal, practically no cleanup, easy ingredients and also picky eater and kid approved! 😋👍🏽

I'm always looking for easy recipes!
Well I found one that I love..
Its supposed to have chicken in it, but I opted not to make it with chicken.
One box of penne pasta (the final pic is of one cup of pasta as I was debating with only using the half of block of Velveeta... gotta save my Velveeta as its hard to find it where I'm at)
**Can of rotel
**Can of cream of mushroom soup
garlic powder
**Pound of Velveeta (now, I only did half).
Cook noodles like normal.
Add the soup, rotel and Velveeta in a pan with a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and blend together.
Once pasta is done, drain water and combine.
Super easy.
I love how cheesy and creamy it is!! I will definitely make this again!

Italian Stromboli
1 tube of pillsbury pizza crust
8 slices of deli ham
10 slices of Genoa salami
12 slices of sandwich pepperoni
8 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella
(You could definitely use shredded cheese as well)
2 tablespoons of butter
2 minced garlic gloves
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
3 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
Melt the butter in the microwave and mix in the minced garlic, parsley and Parmesan cheese. Set aside
I lined my baking sheet with parchment paper.
Stretch the pizza crust out to almost the size of your baking sheet.
Layer the deli meats. I started with the ham, then the salami followed by the pepperoni.
Layer the cheese last.
Roll the Stromboli longwise and be sure to seal the seam good.
Seal the ends good. Pinch them and mold the excess dough to the underside of the Stromboli.
Score the top a few times with a serrated knife (to allow the steam to escape while baking).
Top the Stromboli with the garlic butter mixture.
Bake the Stromboli as instructed on the back of whatever pizza dough you are using.
*I found it’s the same bake time as you would if you were using it for a regular pizza…however, you just won’t par bake it as instructed on the tube.
*I know typical Stromboli has red sauce but I don’t like it inside, I like to dip mine in it! You could very well use it on the inside if you would like!

My hubby said I had to post this. I’ve never posted in this group before but I had leftover hotdog buns from supper last night that I didn’t want to go to waste. This morning I fried sausage links and then scrambled some eggs and added cheese. Hence, the breakfast dawg was born.

What my mom calls sloppy joe horse shoes.
Garlic bread
Sloppy joe mix
Tater tots
Topped with cheese sauce 😋

Edit: A lot of people have asked for how we do this. I'm not quite sure how mom does it but I cook the sloppy joes like i normally would. And bake the tater tots and garlic bread in the oven however each says to do it and then put the sloppy joes on top of the garlic bread add the tatet tots then top with cheese.
