I was married to Wale Alakija from 2016 to 2020, and we have two amazing children, Aydin and Caliph.

I’m Sophie Alakija. I was born on February 8, 1993, in Lagos, into a family with a Lebanese father and an Efik Nigerian mother. I grew up in Surulere and started my career as a dancer, even featuring as the lead dancer in Wizkid’s Holla at Your Boy video in 2010.

I love embracing my natural hair on set. Over the years, I’ve acted in films like Drawing Strands, Getting Over Him, Small Chops, and TV series like Scàndals, Halita, and Assistant Madams. I also starred in Muslīm Wife, My Village People, and Ruse.
