Today is NATIONAL LIBERATION DAY in Korea. It commemorates the day when Korea was liberated from 35 years of Japanese colonial rule. It is also called Gwangbokjeol which translates to “bringing back the light."

STRAIGHT FROM A K-DRAMA SCENE ll CHANGSIN-DONG CLIFF VILLAGE in Seoul gives off a different atmosphere, making us forget that it is located in the city with so many high-rise apartment complexes.

As you walk through the alleyways in this village, you can come across old-fashioned signboards and small mom and pop stores that exude a sense of nostalgia.

Changsin-dong is known as the place where some famous Korean artists and musicians lived when they were young.

The scenery of the alleys is very authentic, so movies and dramas such as ‘Architecture 101’ and ‘Secret Garden’ were filmed here.

The cliff in the middle of Seoul, the precarious-looking houses that stand firmly on the cliffs, and the peaceful alleys all come together to form a spectacle in Changsin-dong Cliff Village. repost from https://www.facebook.com/seoulcitykorea
