💡 Protein is essential, hindi optional.

Unlike carbs na kaya gawin ng katawan mula sa fat at protein (gluconeogenesis), protein mismo cannot be replaced. Amino acids are vital at kailangan araw-araw.

📌 Bakit importante ang protein?
1. Repair & Healing – Protein builds enzymes and structural proteins na kailangan para mag-ayos ng tissues, sugat, at microtears sa muscles.
2. Muscle & Strength – Lean mass preservation. Kung kulang, muscle wasting (sarcopenia) pwedeng mangyari lalo na sa aging o weight loss.
3. Hormones & Enzymes – Maraming hormones (ex. insulin, glucagon, growth hormone) ay protein-based. Without enough, metabolism suffers.
4. Immunity – Antibodies (immunoglobulins), cytokines, and immune cells all depend on protein. Mababa ang protein intake = weak immune response.
5. Skin, Hair, Nails – Collagen, keratin, and elastin are protein-dependent. Deficiency leads to thinning hair, brittle nails, flaky skin, and delayed wound healing.
6. Satiety & Appetite Control – Protein triggers satiety hormones (GLP-1, PYY). Kung kulang, laging gutom, craving carbs and junk.

⚠️ Severe deficiency leads to hypoalbuminemia → edema (namamaga ang paa at mukha), usually in advanced protein-energy malnutrition like kwashiorkor.

✅ Daily Requirement:
• 1.2-1.7 g/kg/day for most adults
• 1.6–2 g/kg/day if active, buntis, nagpapasuso, or recovering from illness

🥚 Low Carb Protein Sources:
• Eggs
• Meat (chicken, beef, pork, goat, lamb)
• Fish & shellfish (salmon, tuna, sardines, bangus, shrimp, crab, squid)
• Dairy (cheese, plain Greek yogurt, unsweetened milk)
• Plant-based (chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, pili, macadamia, walnuts, flaxseed)
• Organ meats (liver, kidney, heart)

📌 Carbs are not essential nutrients. Pero protein is required daily for survival and optimal health. Without it, repair slows down, immunity weakens, and muscle loss accelerates.

Hindi gulay ang superfoods.

Ang totoong superfoods, KARNE.

Meat is the most nutrient-dense, bioavailable, and complete source of nutrition for humans.

Ok din naman ang halaman in moderation. Unique source sila ng fiber (pero di rin essential nutrient ang fiber), at phytonutrients (resveratrol sa grapes, quercetin sa sibuyas, EGCG sa green tea, carotene sa carrots, etc).

Tsaka ang halaman, dahil sa hindi naman sila nakakatakbo pag may gustong kumain sa kanila, gumawa ng maraming depensa: oxalates, phenolics, terpenoids, alkaloids, glucosinolates, cyanogenic glucosides, proteins, peptides, VOCs, at defense enzymes. Mga natural pesticides at toxins sa mga kakain sa kanila.

Ang synthetic pesticides, mga 1,000 na chemical compounds. Alam nyo ba na ang natural pesticides ng mga halaman ay 50,000-100,000? 99.9% ng dietary pesticide exposure sa tao ay nanggagaling sa natural pesticides ng halaman.

👉Kaya 99.8% ng lahat ng halaman ay toxic sa tao. Hindi pwedeng kainin. Only 0.2% of plant species are edible.

Ang ruminant animals, iba (gaya ng baka, kambing, kalabaw, deer, sheep). Kumakain sila ng mga halaman kahit na toxic sa tao. Dahil yan sa kanilang tyan na may 4 na compartments na nag neutralize at detoxify ng halaman: rumen, reticulum, omasum, at abomasum.
