Qatar Opens Registration for Military Diploma Programmes for 2026

The Unified Permanent Committee for Selecting Candidates for Officers of Military Entities has announced the opening of registration for General Secondary School Certificate or equivalent holders — male and female — to join a range of military diploma programmes.
📅 Registration: 8–29 August 2026
🎓 Programmes include: Military, Police Sciences, Emergency & Safety, Security Studies, and Security & Protection diplomas.
Applicants must meet the required eligibility, medical, physical fitness, and interview conditions.

The Ministry of Transport has announced that maritime navigation activities will fully resume for all types of maritime vessels and ships in Qatar starting Sunday, July 26, 2026.
In its latest update, the Ministry confirmed that navigation operations can now return to normal, marking the resumption of maritime movement across all categories of vessels. The Ministry also emphasized the importance of adhering to all maritime regulations, instructions, and safety procedures currently in effect.
Vessel operators, ship owners, and maritime users are urged to ensure that all required safety and security equipment is available and functioning properly on board before and during sailing. These measures are aimed at maintaining the highest standards of safety and security for all maritime journeys and protecting both passengers and crew.

The Amiri Diwan has announced that the funeral prayer for the late His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will be held today, Sunday, 12 July, after Maghrib prayer at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque in Doha. He will be laid to rest at Lusail Cemetery.
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, will receive condolences at Lusail Palace on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (13–15 July) according to the following schedule:
* Morning: 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

* Evening: From after Asr prayer until Isha prayer.

“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.” May Allah grant him the highest place in Paradise.
