Story Time!

“Mommy, I am happy today.”
That’s what he told me on our way home.. and my heart just melted.

We spent about 2-3 hrs at MIA Park after buying fresh fish and crabs from the fish market.

He played in the sand, rode his scooter, and had so much fun at the playground. A simple day, but filled with laughter, sunshine, and little adventures.

And in the end, he said…
“Mommy, I am happy today.”

Moments like this make everything worth it.

Us at Gewan Island - Crystal City Walk

It turns out we can still go out and make memories without spending much (wlang gastos, ehem!) hahaha.

Even with a limited budget, what matters is putting family first and being together. For me… (for me lang namn ahahah) A child’s future isn’t all about money… it’s built on time, love, and guidance.

This is how I prepare them for the future: by being present and letting them feel they matter.

We may not be as wealthy as the “crocs” in the Philippines, but that’s okay. Daddy and Mommy will manage (yasss) kahit minsan feeling namin kailangan na ng superpowers. Even as expats here in Qatar, laban lang.

Lately, I’ve been reminding myself of a simple truth:
Not everything is mine to manage, and that’s okay.

Here’s what I’m learning to separate

Out of my control:
- Other people’s opinions or reactions
- Market shifts or company decisions
- The pace of someone else’s growth
- Unexpected challenges or setbacks

In my control:
- My attitude and effort
- How I respond to challenges
- My willingness to learn and adapt
- The energy I bring into each day

When I focus on what I can control, I feel lighter, more grounded, and more productive.

Because trying to control everything is exhausting... but taking ownership of my response is a better approach. That’s empowering.

In our careers, timing plays a huge role. Sometimes it’s not a “no,” it’s just “not yet.”

Opportunities come when we’ve grown enough to handle them. Destiny often waits for us to be ready - to have the skills, confidence, and mindset to step into the spotlight.

Keep building. Keep learning. Your moment will come - right on time.
