Some days stay with you forever, and today was certainly one of them.
Today, me and Felis ( my beloved wife) YO2MGI,. we had the great pleasure and honor of welcoming our friends and fellow amateur radio operators, Adrian – KO8SCA and Gabi – YO8WW, to Solaris WoodLand Transylvania. Surrounded by nature, time seemed to stand still as we shared laughter, memories, and long conversations about the passion that brings us together—amateur radio.
One of the highlights of the day was listening to Adrian as he shared fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from the remarkable 3Y0K – Bouvet 2026 DXpedition. These were the kind of stories that never make it into the official reports, yet they truly capture the spirit, challenges, and human side of such an extraordinary expedition.
It means a great deal for us that they left impressed by the beauty and peaceful atmosphere of this special place that I proudly call home. For us, Solaris WoodLand is much more than a place in the mountains—it is where friendship, nature, and shared passions come together in the most natural way.
