‘Cyanolumen workshop with visual artist Henri Blommers hosted by Allkimik studio in collaboration with visual artist Ștefan Dinu
Henri Blommers is a Dutch fine art photographer working both digital and analog, with multiple cameras, incorporating stitching, collage and other techniques in his practice. At Bucharest Photofest Henri is showing a selection of 20 images from his experimental photography and will also offer a workshop in collaboration with the Allkimik studio. In this cyanolumen workshop of 3 hours Henri Blommers will teach you how to create cyanolumens, what to consider and will discuss a system he uses for himself to determine whether a paper is useful or not. You are free to take your own digital negatives to play with and/or your own photographic paper, but there will be digital negatives and paper provided by Henri and the studio. Take a plastic bag for the prints and wear clothes that can get dirty. Some knowledge of cyanotype is useful for the workshop, but not strictly necessary. Link in BIO

Mâine, de la ora 17:00, vă așteptăm la Centrul Artelor Vizuale Multimedia pentru lansarea proiectului "Vernacular Photography. The Ghost in the Machine” 🌐

În cadrul expoziției Echoes in the Vernacular Archive: A VR Chronicle ➡️ „un punct de plecare a fost chiar acest radio portabil, simbol al libertății socio-politice greu de îngrădit, cu toate eforturile regimul ceaușist, cât și al unei dematerializări care a anticipat revoluția digitală ce avea să erupă câteva zeci de ani mai târziu. În jurul lui și al ideii de libertate, arhiva întreagă a fost activată dar nu după procedurile obișnuite. Share, Tag or Dye Europe Wide has also a research component. We are trying to come up with a solution to print digital cyanotypes without a negative. First stage was to determine the ideal wave length for our cyanotype recipe. Thank you Vlad Toma and the rest of the team from CETAL Măgurele for your help!
