Meaning β€œMoon Dust,” this ink is a sophisticated dusty purple with cool grey undertones and the faintest touch of burgundy. The result is a soft, smoky shade that feels both elegant and timeless.

Its beautiful shading really comes to life on Tomoe River, Midori, Rhodia, and Cosmo Air Light paper. Water resistance is low, so this isn’t a waterproof inkβ€”but if you love subtle shading and muted purples, it’s definitely worth trying.

🫟 Swatch: De Atramentis Lavender Scent: Lavender

This scented ink was such a lovely surprise. Despite its name suggesting a soft lavender purple, the color is actually a vibrant blue-violet with generous flow and subtle shading. The lavender fragrance is pleasant and most noticeable while writing, making the experience feel extra special and I absolutely love it! With no shimmer or sheen, it’s an elegant ink that’s perfect for both everyday writing and beautiful swatches.

There’s something about Conklin Vintage Purple that feels both elegant and playful. Despite its name, it isn’t a muted vintage shade but a vibrant, cool-toned violet that instantly brightens the page.

The flow is smooth and generously wet, making every writing session a pleasure. It shows subtle shading, without sheen or shimmer, and looks especially beautiful on quality paper. Even with a Fine nib, the color remains rich and expressive.

A lovely choice if you enjoy purples that feel sophisticated yet full of life. πŸ’œβœ¨

The Diplomat Cobra is the bigger, more refined sibling of the Diplomat Viper. It keeps the reptile-inspired design but elevates it with a more elegant look and an even better writing experience.

The body is made from anodized aluminum and comes in Matte Black and Burgundy Red. Its deep guillochΓ© pattern, inspired by cobra scales, provides excellent grip and a premium tactile feel. It also features a magnetic cap that snaps securely into place and opens effortlessly.

The Cobra is fitted with a Diplomat x JoWo 6 stainless steel nib, which is larger than the one on the Viper. It’s available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad. It comes with a converter included and is compatible with standard international cartridges.

Compared to the Viper, the Cobra has a thicker barrel, which I find much more comfortable for longer writing sessions. It’s also a bit heavier, but in a good wayβ€”it feels balanced and substantial in the hand.

If you have any questions about the Diplomat Cobra, leave them in the comments, and I’ll be happy to answer!
