Some images of 483-012 arriving at Bucharest Basarab with a Brasov - Bucharest regional train, this being the locomotive's first commercial run after the test run two weeks ago, and also being officially handed over to CFR Calatori. Like the rest of the 17 4-axle locomotives modernized at SCRL, it belongs to the Brasov depot.

Around noon, the Siemens Ta**us 1116-072 locomotive arrived at the Baneasa Railway Station with two PESA RE-R103 electric multiple units, from the batch of 62 units contracted by ARF. Approximately 15 more R and IR trains had arrived, thus the number of units brought reaches 17 units. PESA thus continues the deliveries of two units per week as it has accustomed us since the beginning of the year.

Some pictures of a series of locomotives 40 and 41 of CFR Calatori taken as long ago as possible, around 2010-2012. Currently, all of them are withdrawn from circulation awaiting scrapping, being removed from the CFR Calatori fleet to be scrapped. This is just the beginning of the scrapping campaign, CFR Calatori following to scrap a large series of rolling stock together with the modernization through PNRR and the acquisitions through ARF.

If the landscape of the North Railway Station in Bucharest is starting to be dominated by modernized or new rolling stock, the opportunities to catch classic locomotives, which underwent their last major repairs in the 2000s at Electroputere Craiova, are very rare. Today we had the opportunity to see some of the last ones to come to the area, 304 and 810, both from the generations with major repairs in the early 2000s. Both are about to disappear from operation, their return to service being planned after major repairs, in an unknown time horizon.

If we generally present new and modernized rolling stock, I thought it was appropriate to see it "before", in 2012 in the Brasov - Predeal area, a summer trainspotting. Most of the locomotives have been modernized, retired or have different graphics in the meantime.

This evening, several locomotives from the 481 series generation were present in the Gara de Nord. They are present in various trains, on the Bucharest - Brașov and Bucharest - Constanța routes, but also further, towards Curtici with the Dacia train. They are also used towards the eastern part of the country, to Galați or Suceava, generally to pull InterCity trains, which are composed of trains with wagons modernized also through the PNRR program.

Today we meet Siemens Smartron 192-024 and 192-025, of GFR, traditional for the traction of trains connecting the oil centers in the Ploiești, Bucharest and Constanta areas. The two arrived together with 192-026 at the end of 2025. More Smartron locomotives are to arrive at GFR at the end of the year, and in August we will see 192-023 of Unicom Tranzit.

Reloc Craiova and CFR Călători conducted tests today with the 12th ELASMO locomotive modernized with PNRR funds, after locomotive number 11 was completed two weeks ago, both of which are set to enter service this month. The locomotives will be operated by the CFR Călători Craiova section. The tests were conducted on the Bucharest - Cernavodă route, pulling 16 wagons to prove locomotive traction performance at a speed of 160 km/h.

Softronic Craiova is moving forward with the modernization project with PNRR funds, this evening locomotives 481-014 and 481-015 arriving at Gara de Nord, so that next week they can carry out the final tests and handover to CFR Călători. Softronic has only 4 locomotives left to hand over from the batch of 19 units modernized with PNRR funds, most likely the next two will be released towards the end of March, and the last ones towards June.

Locomotive 481-014 pays homage to actress Lucia Sturdza Bulandra, and 481-015 to doctor and biologist Ioan Cantacuzino.

This morning, the first two Alstom Coradia electric trains of Interregional Călători arrived in Bucharest, part of the contract with ARF, CSP-L2, which provides for the operation of 13 Alstom Coradia electric trains by the operator from Cluj. The RE-IR101 014 and RE-IR101 015 trains arrived at the Bucurestii Noi station, and will be moved to the Alstom depot in the Grivita area this evening. The operation of the trains by a private operator under a public service contract is a first for Romania.
