Yesterday was World Music Day, and I’d like to recommend a beautiful example of musical circularity from trei parale aka Florin Iordan, Beatrice Iordan, Mihai Balabaș and Daniel Mircea Pop!
Lately, through Harta Reciclarii, a program of Viitor Plus, I’ve been sharing short stories about bands and creative projects that choose a more sustainable path.
Since 2003, Trei Parale has practiced a form of sonic circular economy: recovering old, forgotten or marginalized songs and bringing them back into circulation with new life. Their work shows that Romania’s musical heritage is not just an archive, but a living resource that can be restored, reinterpreted and reused without losing its authenticity.
