WHAT IS DOCROADS ?
DOCROADS is a project-driven creative documentary workshop, and training initiative, especially designed for audiovisual emerging professionals, in Europe and Asia. We at DOCROADS believe that engaging storytelling is the key to successfully reaching your audience. Therefore our focus is on story development tools, storytelling, and aspects of international coproduction.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT in DOCROADS 2020-2021 ?
The workshop consists of two phases, the digital phase, and the phygital one. Both phases are headed, guided, coordinated, and constantly supervised by our tutors, who provide feedback, advice, and suggestions. Each group has to complete a film on a chosen subject, within a period of 1 month approximately.

WHERE IS DOCROADS ?
Wherever you are or you want to be .Phase A is online only , Phase B is scheduled as a residential workshop with a fully digitalized participatory option .

WHY DOCROADS ?
Simply, because DOCROADS is the only compact program in the world, specially designed for the needs of the constantly fast growing and changing documentary industry as it combines theory, training, and results. It applies to audiovisual professionals from all over the world, and, while respecting their own POV, teaches creators how to make their vision understandable for an international audience, so that their films can be globally appreciated and distributed. At the same time, the DOCROADS program allows participants to gain an inside look into the process of international filmmaking, encourages networking, and lays the groundwork for future co-productions.
WHO ARE THE PARTICIPANTS ?
Young, emerging documentary filmmakers, directors, producers, editors with a certain level of experience. People who want to go international.Each participant gains an inside view of all stages of an international documentary production. They learn how to produce/co-produce for the world market and how to pitch and present their projects. Interdisciplinary collaboration and intensive teamwork, combined with constant tutorial guidance and supervision, help participants improve their co-production skills, understand the international market and expand their creativity so that they become fully equipped for the challenges of a demanding and competitive market.Docroads is open to artists ,emerging audiovisual professionals ,producers ,directors ,journalists ,students ,all creators who share the passion for well told stories for the world .

WHEN IS DOCROADS ?Tuition Fees ?

Docroads 2020 -2021 is from December 2020 to June 2021.All seminars and workshops will be held in weekends.Tuition fee is 485 euros , payable in three monthly installments in January ,February and March 2021.Registration& Participation in

* MEET THE TUTORS *

🎬 Our week continues with Georgia Tsangaraki, Greek actor-director, theater educator and dramaturg!
Georgia has studied acting at the school of the National Theatre of Greece, receiving an Honor’s degree and has continued her studies with a scholarship from Voudouris foundation in the Arts Educational London Schools receiving her Masters degree. She is trained in voice, dance, Kung –Fu, Buttoh, Suzuki method, acting for the camera, Flamenco, creative writing. Since 1996 she has worked as an actor with the National Theatre of Greece in multiple shows (Greek tragedies and contemporary pieces alike) multiple short and feature films, as well as television shows. She teaches voice, acting, and movement, while for the last five years she has been collaborating with One Year Lease Theater Co and Ianthe Demos, in their summer school in Papingo, Ipiros, Greece.

She also works with various drama schools in Greece and abroad (Chile, USA, England, Italy, Colombia) teaching Greek and foreign student’s master-classes in Ancient Greek Drama and, specifically, the role of the Chorus. Georgia is now in the second year of her master’s degree in Dramatherapy. She speaks Italian, Spanish and English and is also and mostly a mother of an amazing child.

Hans-Stefan Heyne worked as a Unit Manager at NDR Public Television in Hamburg/Germany, he became a part of Germany's biggest Public Broadcaster ARD/Channel One, he was a Production Manager at NDR Public Television in Hamburg and a Production Manager/Executive Producer at Studio Hamburg's production unit, where he was responsible for production budgets, cost-breakdowns and contracting. He was a Legal Consultant and Head of International Co-Productions and Acquisitions until 2011 at NDR International, later to become Studio Hamburg Distribution & Marketing (SHDM). The company was responsible for the combining of any and all commercial activities of NDR, such as programme acquisitions, international co-productions, programme sales, worldwide Co-Production, and Licensing.

In 2012 he started his own company "International Media Consult & Business Services", focusing on documentaries financing and co-financing, setting up international co-productions, acquisitions and sales contracts, all kinds of legal aspects and rights management.
