If you want to capture moments like this, keep reading!

1️⃣. Know your ground. Being able to easily navigate to can ease the difficulties involved with wildlife photography.

2️⃣. Know your wildlife. Depending on where you’re based at you have a totally different and unique experience. Knowing what kind of animal you’ll be photographing will really increase your chances.

3️⃣. Do the research. Get to know your wildlife. Behaviour. Active times. Routine. This way you’ll have an easier job when it comes to finding it.

4️⃣. Have your camera setting dialled in. I’m using manual with auto ISO.

5️⃣. Be respectful. When you leave, there should be no trace of your presence.

Went on a little adventure and decided to practice my photography using my son as my subject. Here’s a few tips.

One of the best times to photograph kids (or any subject) outdoors is during golden hour – just before sunset. The warm light adds magic, depth, and emotion to your shots.

📸 Tips for sunset portraits
1. Shoot against the light to create silhouettes, glowing edges, or dust highlights.
2. Keep your subject moving naturally – it brings energy to the frame.
3. Expose for the subject’s face, not just the sky, so you don’t lose expressions.
4. Play with dust, grass, or other elements – they catch the light beautifully.
