Peter Abbott, known professionally as OMATIX (UK), is a Liverpool-based DJ and producer with a career spanning over a decade. Having started DJing at just 12 years old, he has honed his skills across both vinyl and CDJ formats, performing at venues throughout the UK. OMATIX has shared the stage with industry heavyweights such as Del-30, Guz, Biscits, Dubvision, Bisset, Joe Stone, and Alex Adair, building a reputation for high-energy sets that captivate audiences. His recent performances at Avalon Priory in Glastonbury for numerous events highlight his growing presence in the festival and club scene. As a producer, OMATIX (UK) has an impressive 41 releases, available on all major streaming platforms. His work has seen significant success, charting on Beatport numerous times, with his most recent release reaching #21 globally. Known for his immersive sound design, he frequently incorporates original location recordings into his productions, adding a distinct and organic quality to his music. Beyond performance and production, OMATIX (UK) is also a skilled mixing and mastering engineer, handling all aspects of his own music. His expertise is backed by education at prestigious institutions such as LIPA, Abbey Road Studios, Modular Moon Amsterdam, and SAE. He has also been mentored by award-winning producers and engineers including Mike Cave, Hannes Bieger, and Sylvia Massey, further refining his craft.
