"Your dream is on the other side of your comfort zone.โ€ โšฝ๐ŸŒ

This was a conversation every young footballer needs to hear.

Why do so many talented players never reach their full potential?

Sometimes it's not a lack of talent.
Sometimes it's not a lack of opportunities.

Sometimes it's simply the fear of leaving what feels comfortable.

Leaving your city.
Leaving your friends.
Leaving your family.
Leaving everything you've ever known.

Bogdan Porumb spoke honestly about how many players choose to stay close to home because it's safe and familiar. But football doesn't always reward comfort.

Growth often requires sacrifice.

The truth is, many careers are built the moment a player decides to take a chance on themselves.

A new city.
A new country.
A new language.
A new challenge.

None of it is easy.

But neither is achieving your dream.

The players who make it aren't always the most gifted. They're often the ones willing to step into the unknown when everyone else stays comfortable.

๐Ÿšจ Comfort feels safe.
๐Ÿš€ Growth feels uncomfortable.

Which one are you choosing?

โ€œWhat do you do when you know you're good enough but you're still on the bench?โ€ โšฝ๐Ÿ’ญ

Every footballer has asked themselves this question at some point.

You train hard.
You make sacrifices.
You give everything.

Yet every weekend, someone else's name is on the team sheet.

In this powerful moment, Bogdan Porumb opens up about the frustration of sitting on the bench, knowing deep down that you deserve an opportunity.

The easy reaction is to complain.
To blame the coach.
To lose motivation.

But Bogdan chose a different path.

๐Ÿ’ช Train harder.
๐Ÿ’ช Work harder.
๐Ÿ’ช Give the coach no reason to ignore you.

Because sometimes life doesn't reward us when we think we deserve it.
It rewards us when we're prepared for the moment our chance finally arrives.

The strongest players aren't always the most talented.
They're the ones who keep showing up when nobody is watching.

If you're currently feeling overlooked, underestimated, or forgotten

Keep working.

Your moment may be closer than you think.

Arsenal mastered the art of anti football this season and succeeded to win the league, but ask Athletico Madrid and they will tell you, when you play the UCL finals with anti football tactics, you donโ€™t win!

PSG - Paris Saint-Germain champions back to back!!

30/05/2026

What makes UCL different is the nights, the lights, the atmosphere!!!!!!
To schedule the finals this early is horrible from UEFA!
Feels like Iโ€™m watching Costa Rica vs Honduras at the world cup

30/05/2026

UCL at 18:00 has to be a crime against football

โ€œYour chance will come but when it comes, donโ€™t give the shirt back.โ€ โšฝ๐Ÿ”ฅ

This was one of the strongest lessons from the episode.

In football, not everybody starts.
Not everybody gets the spotlight.
Not everybody gets their name called first.

And that can be painful.

But patience is part of the journey.

A coach can only choose 11 players, but a season is never won with 11 players alone. Injuries happen. Opportunities appear. Circumstances change.

The real question is:
Will you be ready when your moment arrives?

Because some players spend all their energy complaining.
Others spend that same energy preparing.

Train harder.
Stay ready.
Keep believing.

Because one day the opportunity you have been waiting for will finally come

And when it does, take that shirt and never give it back.

โ€œHas football changed or have we changed?โ€ โšฝ๐Ÿค”

This sparked a really interesting debate on the podcast.

Back then football felt different.

You had players who would make you jump out of your seat โ€” long-range screamers, crazy dribbles, moments of pure magic. Players like Kakรก and Roberto Carlos could create something unbelievable from absolutely nothing.

Today the game has evolved:
More systems.
More tactics.
More structure.

But has something been lost in the process?

Now everyone wants to play from the back. Everyone wants to copy the same style. Build up. Pass. Possession. Repeat.

Football has become smarter but has it become less spectacular?

Maybe football today is more efficient.
Maybe football before felt more free.

What do you think:

โšฝ Football 10โ€“15 years ago
OR
โšฝ Football today?

"Forgiveness is not setting someone else free sometimes itโ€™s setting yourself free.โ€ โค๏ธ

This was one of the deepest moments from the episode.

We spend so much time holding on to pain, betrayal, disappointment, and anger. We replay situations in our heads over and over again. We wonder if the other person regrets it. We wonder if they are suffering too.

Meanwhile, the person we are angry with may have already moved on.

As Sam said:
The day you forgive someone is the day you realize you were the one carrying the weight.

Because grudges take energy.
They take peace.
They take joy.
They occupy spaces in your mind that should be used for growth and happiness.

Forgiveness does not always mean forgetting what happened.
It does not mean saying what happened was okay.

It means deciding that your peace is more important than your pain.

Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is simply let go.

โ€œMental health in football is not a luxury. Itโ€™s a necessity.โ€ โšฝ๐Ÿง โค๏ธ

This conversation with touched on something many players experience but very few openly talk about.

People watch footballers for 90 minutes and judge their performance.

โ€œHe was poor today.โ€
โ€œHe lacked energy.โ€
โ€œHe wasn't focused.โ€
โ€œHe doesn't care.โ€

But what people donโ€™t see is what may be happening behind the scenes.

Maybe the player has family problems.
Maybe he's carrying stress.
Maybe he's battling anxiety.
Maybe he's struggling financially.
Maybe he's fighting something silently and still showing up every day.

As Dan said, many athletes keep everything inside.

"I'm strong."
"I'll handle it myself."
"Nobody needs to know."

But carrying pain in silence doesn't always make you stronger.

Sometimes talking helps.

Sometimes releasing the weight you're carrying helps you breathe again.

Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is simply say:

"I'm not okay."

Mental pressure doesn't only exist in big clubs or among superstar athletes.

It exists everywhere:
in academies,
in dressing rooms,
in youth football,
in lower divisions,
and in the lives of players chasing a dream.

Maybe football clubs invest in physical coaches, nutritionists and facilities

But the mind needs care too.

Because when the mind is heavy, the body follows.

And when players feel supported off the pitch, they can become better versions of themselves on it.

โ€œForgiveness is easy to talk aboutโ€ฆ until someone takes away the thing you love most.โ€ โšฝ๐Ÿ’”

This was one of the deepest moments from the conversation with.

Imagine working your whole life for football.

The sacrifices.
The pain.
The hours nobody sees.
The dreams you built.

Then one moment changes everything.

An injury.

Eight months away from the game.

Many people would expect anger.
Many people would understand hate.
Many would say: โ€œI would never forgive him.โ€

But Dan chose something different.

The player involved called him and explained that hurting him was never his intention. He was facing a long suspension and asked for help.

Now think about that for a second

You are the one staying out for eight months.
You are the one watching football from the sidelines.
You are the one dealing with recovery, frustration and pain.

Yet Dan still chose to help him.

Not because it was fair.

Not because it changed his own situation.

But because sometimes forgiveness says more about your character than revenge ever could.

Life and football will hurt us at some point.

People will disappoint us.
People will make mistakes.
Some wounds stay longer than others.

But carrying hate also has a cost.

This conversation wasn't just about football.

It was about strength.
Real strength.

Because sometimes strength isn't fighting back

Sometimes strength is choosing peace.
