I’m 28 and I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that:
1) I thought I’d have my life figured out by 28.
I spent so much time comparing my timeline to everyone else’s that I forgot life isn’t a race. I’m learning that being “behind” only exists when you measure your life against somebody else’s.
2) I spent years thinking I just needed to become better at tolerating a life that didn’t feel like mine.
I thought being exhausted was just what adulthood looked like. Now I’m questioning why we’re taught to build a life around surviving the week and recovering at the weekend.
3) I’ve delayed so many things because I was scared they wouldn’t be good enough.

And sometimes I wonder whether one person can really make a difference. But I’m learning that changing the world doesn’t always start loudly. Sometimes it starts with refusing to accept what you’ve been told is normal.
7) I’m still figuring out who I am.
For so long I thought I needed to have a perfectly defined career, purpose, business, identity and five-year plan.
Now I’m realising that becoming yourself isn’t something you finish. Maybe growing means giving yourself permission to change your mind and fail from time to time.
Maybe I’m not behind.
Maybe I’m just b
