Found a striking figure that blends Pan with the Green Man, painted on the dome of what seems to be a pavilion—or maybe just a passage hall—in the historic Herculane Casino complex. Cracked walls, peeling paint and fading grandeur. Still hauntingly beautiful.

Am mai scris despre Cinema Marconi acum câțiva ani, când era doar o altă clădire abandonată, prinsă în inerția unui București indiferent. M-am întors recent pe Calea Griviței, iar ruina cu pereții scorojiti, marcați de trecerea timpului, continuă să reziste. Dar de data asta, ceva e diferit. Marconi urmează să fie salvat — nu ca simplă promisiune, ci printr-un proiect concret de restaurare inițiat de ARCEN.

Ultima farmacie interbelică păstrată integral în București – Casa cu Farmacie „Gheorghe Hotăranu” este un monument farmaceutic și arhitectural unic. Proiectată în stil neoromânesc în 1925, clădirea păstrează mobilierul original, laboratorul și atmosfera unei epoci în care medicina era meșteșug. Un loc încărcat de memorie profesională, ce merită să devină Muzeul Farmaciei Capitalei prin Colegiul Farmaciștilor din București.

🔴 From July 3rd to 6th, the village of Richiș hosts the Green Man Festival, where I’ll be exhibiting a selection of 20 photographs featuring the Green Man found in the fortified churches of Transylvania, mainly those with Saxon heritage.

This research started 10 years ago, driven by a simple curiosity for rural exploration and local architecture.

I invite you to see how this old symbol, present in the carved details of these churches, reflects the connection between nature and culture.

Hidden Spiral Staircase

Built over a century ago, the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce has stood through wars, earthquakes and shifting times. Its grand spiral staircase, crafted in French neoclassical style, was once the main access route for officials and royalty before the building’s elevator was installed in 1926.

Today, the palace occasionally opens its doors for events, but the staircase remains mostly off-limits to the public.

Această casă, un exemplu de arhitectură eclectică cu influențe din stilul Ludovic al XVI-lea, a fost construită în 1892 pentru profesorul Dumitru T. Dobrescu. În 1904, a intrat în zestrea fiicei sale, Victoria, odată cu mariajul acesteia cu Ștefan Minovici, fratele renumitului medic legist Mina Minovici și al profesorului Nicolae Minovici.
