🎬 We are honored!
Our film, The Secret of Pin-Up Island, has been officially selected for the European Film Festival in Saudi Arabia (EUFF 2025) and will be screened at Vox Cinema in Riyadh on November 5, 2025.
This selection is a proud moment for our entire team, not only because it brings a Romanian production to an international stage, but also because it shines a light on a deeply relevant and thought-provoking story.
🎞️ The Secret of Pin-Up Island explores a futuristic treatment designed for women suffering from anxiety and depression, conditions that have become increasingly common in the modern age as a result of the constant social pressure placed on women.
Beyond its feminist lens, the film delves into themes of freedom, emotional balance, and the universal right to healing, subjects that carry even greater weight in parts of the world where women’s access to therapy and other fundamental rights remains limited.
About the festival:
Launched in 2022, the European Film Festival in Saudi Arabia is now celebrating its fourth edition.
The festival promotes European cinema and fosters cultural dialogue and artistic exchange between Europe and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Filmul nostru, The Secret of Pin-Up Island, a fost selectat pentru Festivalul Filmului European din Arabia Saudită (EUFF 2025) și va fi proiectat la Vox Cinema din Riyadh, pe 5 noiembrie 2025.
Această selecție reprezintă un moment de mare mândrie pentru echipa noastră, nu doar pentru că aduce un film românesc pe o platformă internațională prestigioasă, ci și pentru că oferă vizibilitate unei povești actuale și profunde.
🎞️ The Secret of Pin-Up Island explorează o temă universală: impactul presiunii sociale asupra femeilor din epoca modernă, surprinzând o lume a viitorului în care se descoperă un tratament destinat femeilor ce suferă de anxietate și depresie, afecțiuni devenite tot mai răspândite în contextul exigențelor și așteptărilor impuse de societate.
Filmul vorbește despre nevoia de libertate, echilibru emoțional și dreptul la vindecare, teme cu atât mai relevante într-o lume unde, în anumite regiuni, accesul femeilor la terapie și la alte drepturi fundamentale rămâne limitat.

Lansat în 2022, European Film Festival in Saudi Arabia se află la cea de-a patra ediție.
Festivalul promovează cinematografia europeană și încurajează dialogul cultural și schimbul artistic între Europa și Regatul Arabiei Saudite.
