KHL 3x3: A New Perspective on Hockey

We proud to tell that Quberten has crafted the corporate identity and visual system for the KHL 3x3 Championship, a fast-paced new hockey format designed to captivate a younger audience. The project reflects the energy, spectacle, and bold character of this evolution in the sport.

▫️ Logo & Identity
At the core of the identity is the logo, built from opposing number threes that intersect to form an X—an emblem of competition and intensity. Custom logos in the corporate colors of the tournament sponsors were developed for each division, ensuring a distinct yet cohesive visual presence.

▫️ Graphic System
Social media templates feature a signature mesh gradient pattern, visually reinforcing the rivalry between the red and orange divisions. These patterns, like all elements in the system, incorporate the corporate angles and defining characteristics of the main logo, creating a unified and recognizable aesthetic.

▫️ On-Air Graphics
For KHL 3x3 broadcasts, we developed a full suite of on-air graphics, including score and timer plates, lineup displays, credits, and more—all rooted in the signature X-shape. Custom motion graphics highlight key moments, such as team goals, adding an extra layer of dynamism to the viewing experience.

We’re excited to unveil our comprehensive identity project for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl — a storied hockey club embracing a bold visual evolution.

▫️ Logo
Rooted in contemporary sports design, the logo moves away from traditional depictions of sport. Instead, it adopts a geometric solidity that symbolizes momentum, power, and the unstoppable energy of a speeding train.

▫️ Supporting Elements
The identity is enriched by both Cyrillic and Latin lettering, elegantly framed within a ceremonial ribbon. The bespoke LY monogram—our earlier creation—has been meticulously refined to align with the new logo, alongside the commemorative memory stamp. Additional identifiers, including the shield and the iconic letter "Я" paired with a bear, pay homage to Yaroslavl’s heritage.

▫️ Typography
For this project, we localized a North American sports typeface into Cyrillic, crafting custom characters that seamlessly integrate into the design language. Notably, the Cyrillic "Д" and "Л" reference the logo’s trapezoidal geometry, while the typeface’s full set of diacritics ensures versatility—essential for player nameplates and beyond.

▫️ Corporate Style
The visual language draws inspiration from the aesthetics of rail travel and industrial craftsmanship. Patterns echo the shapes of train tracks, workshop precision, and the structural interplay of the letter "L," creating an optical illusion that merges innovation with tradition.

Leadership in sports always poses challenges in branding and marketing as well. To communicate with fans effectively, CSKA handball club decided to refresh its identity. The most important task of the Studio was to maintain ties with the club traditions and express the identity of men's and women's teams.

FC Torpedo X Quberten

For the big year of one of USSR and Russia's iconic clubs, Q10 developed an identity built around the main symbols of Car factory workers: the 'T', a gear, and a racing car.

Key elements of the logo were graphically adjusted. The 32-tooth wheel was geometrically modified while the additional emblem version assumes a turn of the car with a forward and upward motion vector.

The classic letter 'T' acquired more balanced Bezier curves. Сlub's anniversary lettering was based on T's simplified version and developed into additional elements 'ВЕКТОР', '1924', and 'TMCF'.

The popular TV show about hockey team is back after five years. In the seventh season, the viewer gets not only new intrigues but also an updated style. The new series logo and full-fledged style of the Sharks team dive into the sports cinematic universe.

🇨🇦 New project alert. Identity of the Canadian Lacrosse League

Lacrosse is a Canadian national sport with a centuries-old history and therefore, the League's identity should be associated with the entire nation.

The logo combines a recognizable maple leaf with two important lacrosse elements: a stick and a feather, a symbol of the North American indigenous peoples. The elements not only complete each other in a main logo but can also be used as independent sub-logos. The main logo is adapted for color mimicry for the jerseys and marketing communications.

Mikhail Antipin, CEO of Quberten: This project is encouraging. It is nice to know that in such difficult times we remain in demand abroad, especially in North America, the center of sports design and entertainment. It was especially interesting to work on a discipline that is new to us, which is also the national sport of Canada.
