RELEASE ALERT 🚨🚨🚨

In this new Minor Notes release the owner of the label Dmitry GuyDee pays musical tribute to the legendary Yamaha Motif workstation, which he used on most of the tracks from the EP. The instrument which was first released in 2001 had a great impact on the music industry, while still remaining one of the most expressive synthesizers today.

Guydee puts the iconic timbres of Yamaha Motif, associated with such styles as RnB, Soul, Trip-Hop, Acid Jazz, Soulful and early Tech into a universal house music form.

Using the timeless dance music foundation and complementing it with his own musical solutions, Guydee manages to offer his own artistic vision of the late 90s - mid-00s sound development.

This guy is always with us, although he is now based in the city of Lisbon, Portugal (and already successfully performs there at parties of 500+ people)! It's hard for us to be separated from Thierry Tomas, so we asked Zhenya to record an hour-long mix postcard for our own label. Urgently turn on the link in comments, it's a complete thrill!

Taking this opportunity, we also congratulate Zhenya and ourselves on how enchantingly the Tomat record flew into the world charts of radio stations, streaming, digital showcases and vinyl stores. Signor Tomato is everywhere!

You probably remember and love our "Revnost" release from Moscow producer Interesnye Sshchushchenia , released last fall. During this time, tracks from it managed to play on BBC Radio 1, get into the mixes of unexpected DJs around the world, and appeared on the charts and playlists of popular streaming sites. Like everyone else, we periodically immerse ourselves in this melancholic-banging atmosphere of the release, and of course we want more of this kind of sound. So we present to you a whole hour of house stuff mixed with Street Soul from the hero-resident of our label!

A surprisingly beautiful mix was shared with us by a Moscow music lover and collector of records, with more than 20 years of experience - Stas Vasilev . A special place in his compilations is occupied by American electronics, with a noticeable influence of true school jazz, funk and disco. In the mix for Minor Notes, Stas fully revealed his love for deep, soulful and groove house, constantly moving the listener to a fashionable cocktail party on the roof of a skyscraper, then to the azure coasts of warm lands closer to sunset.

We highly recommend paying attention to this DJ and getting acquainted with his other mixes for our friends from Jazzve, Melody PM, House Salad and others. And look for Stas live on vinyl markets and in Moscow bars Noor, Vinyl and Wine, Suzuran and summer Cochonnet.

The album "Tomat EP" is a brave experiment with rethinking the soundtracks of Soviet cinema and Polish jazz of the second half of the 20th century from the recognized hero of the new house wave Thierry Tomas. Zhenya's releases regularly get into the highlights of the main music stores and streaming, and some of his tracks permanently participate in the charts and sets of artists of the rank of Phil Weeks, Atjazz, Demuir, Sandy Rivera and more.

Especially for Minor Notes, Zhenya collected 4 dance novels, tending to jazz and club music at the same time.

This record has been preparing for more than a year and a half and means a lot to us. This is jazzy deep and a little funky house, which will take its rightful place in your collection and confidently break into any of your bar or club sets. Long time no see! After a brief hiatus, we continue to release beautiful music in the style of Minor Notes in 2023 with a release from our new artist - Finest Wear. Cenzo Scoglio (real name of the artist) is an established producer from London, UK. He has noted strong releases on the likes Plastic City, Nightbird, Artizan Music, Loud East Records and many others. We have been following this impressive musician for a long time and finally we've managed to put together 4 perfectly suitable tracks that fully reflect the philosophy of Minor Notes.

'Something Minor EP' is music aimed at a bright future, the old school in a modern presentation, respecting the roots of deep house, while using all the current production tricks. Hypnotic loops, pulsating bass, solid drums and groovy percussive hats, this is exactly what we expect from real house music. Meet me on the dance floor!

Improvisation in the form, which we love it the most! There is a special position in your music menu today. Podcast from our friend Denis Kazakov - owner of the label Sengiley Recordings and Spazio. Denis is a born A&R, who does not think in styles and genres, but chooses music according to its quality, which is proved by his hour-long mix. There is jazz in the Icelandic reading, hip-hop, house demos of notable domestic producers and unreleases from his imprints. We are glad that you will hear it in our podcast series! Right at the end of this weekend (on Saturday), we spends a club night in Propaganda (Moscow). We are distinguished by a very broad musical outlook, a deep immersion in modern dance music and a huge experience in production and djing. We pay special attention to the selection at our performances, exploring a huge layer of all new electronic music, and do not forget about historically important releases.

On February 25 DJ Stereotip, Guydee, Lowres and Gronery performed in the lineup . We are really waiting for all of you!

На двух этажах комфортабельного лайнера Noor Bar мы отправимся в тур по мировым клубным столицам и послушаем то, как они звучат (и конечно же звучали в разные эпохи). We are always looking for new names and happy to meet new people who live by the music! Special place in the heart of Minor Notes is occupied by the Urals and Siberia! During the December tour to Chelyabinsk, we met Sasha Slavinskas - he is a very active local DJ, who can be heard almost every weekend at the main dance events of the city. As expected, Sasha collects vinyl, develops the local groove scene and gives a high-quality music to everyone who are interested in. Very elegantly wears a beard and mustache, which is no less important!

After hearing how stylishly and confidently Sasha plays and getting to know him better, we realized that it is absolutely impossible to live without his mix in our collection. So today, we present to your attention an hour-long podcast from Slavinskas himself, recorded in the Chelyabinsk club called RMC!
