Sports Broadcasting has developed specifications, conducted tenders and signed contracts to purchase the following state-of-the-art professional TV equipment: 12 OBVans (outside broadcasting vehicles) with HDTV video and 5.1 sound (three 24-camera units, four 16-camera units, and five 10-camera units). Also, Sports Broadcasting has purchased seven DSNGs (digital satellite news gathering)
and other TV equipment: Robycam (a spider camera), remote controlled telescopes, Steadicams, etc. A mobile master control room will be used for complex events. A media office will make it possible for national broadcasters to form a unified video archive and to promptly prepare TV news reports. Staff
Sports Broadcasting will select and train over 1,500 TV specialists from all over Russia in our own multi-stage program for both resident and remote training in 27 specialties. The resident course will be offered in Moscow, partly at the Skolkovo School of Management. The best TV production specialists from Russia and other countries will work as instructors. After certification, the best trainees will join the professionals engaged in test-running the equipment in various provinces of Russia by covering athletic, political and cultural events. The opportunity to cover the Olympic Games in Sochi will be their top reward.
