Rwanda Media Programme not only participated in last year’s Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP); we also informed the media sector about the findings in two different workshops last week. The significant underrepresentation of women in Rwanda’s media came as a big surprise to the participants, who were given a range of tools to help address this issue. Soooo much is going on in Rwanda Media Programme this week 😀. Journalism students in all our four partner universities have got an introduction both to fact-checking as a journalistic genre and AI for journalists. On group of journalists enjoys a several days training in special reporting about education - an area we think engages the whole society (we all have gone to school... 👩‍🎓). Another group of journalists is learning more about how to report in an ethical and inclusive way about disabilities.

The Rwanda Media Programme has, together with the Thomson Reuters Foundation arranged several trainings about this issue in Rwanda.
