Just wrapped up an incredibly insightful visit at the Brasil CineMundi – International Coproduction Meeting in Belo Horizonte, one of Brazil’s top markets for film projects in progress and projects in development.

The energy is electric, and what truly stands out is the growing commitment from Brazilian filmmakers. There’s a tangible willingness to assess just how much most Brazilian film makers are willing to open up to the African audience and strategically explore the best methods for looking for the best strategy to bring the film to the African continent.
This is more than just talk. The market environment at CineMundi is actively fostering the networks and partnerships needed to bridge the South Atlantic. With formal co-production agreements (like the one with South Africa) providing a solid foundation, the next step is perfecting the distribution channels.

This push for deeper South-South cooperation in cinema is leading to a significant shift. The connection between Brazilian and African audiovisual storytelling is poised to become one of the industry’s most vital and dynamic focal points, and this is why the distribution strategy is going to be one of the key focus of high quality distribution swing in the next coming years.
