One year ago, we began with a vision to connect people, ideas, innovation, and purpose.

Today, that vision is becoming a growing global ecosystem — connecting research, innovation, education, entrepreneurship, partnerships, and people across Africa and the world.

From AJIC and AICIC 2026 to AIN, the AIN Innovation Challenge 2026, training, capacity building, and global collaborations, our first year has been a journey of building, connecting, and creating opportunities.

242 registered participants. 16 countries. 10+ organisations engaged. 10+ collaborations initiated.

But the greatest achievement is the community behind the numbers.

The journey has only begun.

One year. One vision. A growing global community.

Today, we celebrate the first anniversary of Abba Communications & Innovation (AbbaComms).

What began as a vision to connect people, ideas, innovation, and purpose has grown into a platform creating opportunities for research, innovation, collaboration, capacity building, and global engagement.

In our first year, we have begun building an ecosystem that brings together researchers, innovators, educators, students, entrepreneurs, institutions, industry professionals, and changemakers across borders.

From AJIC to AICIC 2026, the AbbaComms Innovators Network (AIN), the AIN Innovation Challenge 2026, and our growing network of partnerships and collaborations, the journey has been one of purposeful action.

And we are only getting started.

This anniversary is not simply a celebration of one year.

It is a celebration of the people who believed in the vision, contributed to it, and became part of the community.

Thank you to everyone who has walked this journey with us.

The next chapter begins now.

Day 2 of the inaugural 𝗔𝗝𝗜𝗖 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗔𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) brought our inaugural conference to a memorable conclusion.

Across these sessions, participants exchanged ideas, built connections, and explored opportunities for collaboration beyond the conference.

Over the two days, 𝟮𝟰𝟮 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 came together across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Oceania.

But the real impact goes beyond the numbers.
