*Anti-Drug Enforcement Drive Continues in Sopore under Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan; Three Drug Peddlers Arrested*
Sopore, June 07, 2026:
In continuation of the ongoing anti-drug enforcement drive under the *100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan,* Sopore Police apprehended three drug peddlers during patrolling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Bus Stand.
During patrolling at *Model TownโBrath Link Road, police intercepted three suspicious individuals. Upon their search, psychotropic substances, including Spasmoproxyvon Plus and SP capsules, were recovered from their possession* and seized in accordance with due legal procedure.
The accused have been identified as:
*1. Arsalan Nabi Zargar, S/O Ghulam Nabi Zargar*
*2. Waseem Nabi Wani, S/O Ghulam Nabi Wani, both residents of Model Town-B, Sopore*
*3. Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, S/O Abdul Rashid Sheikh, R/O Bohripora, Sopore*
Accordingly, *FIR No. 134/2026 under Sections 8/22 and 29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore* and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and wider network involved.
Sopore Police reiterates that strict action against drug peddlers and traffickers shall continue across the district. Every effort is being made to dismantle the narcotics ecosystem and prevent the spread of drugs among the youth.
