Today I joined office after almost 2 weeks of vacation, and I want to clear one big misconception.

Many people think:

“You cannot take leave before completing 2 years in Saudi.”

This is completely wrong.

🔹 Reality

Your leave depends on your employment contract, not some fixed rule.

In my case:

✔ I apply leave through Zoho People
✔ Manager approves
✔ HR processes it
✔ I can travel

⸻

🔹 My recent leaves

• November – 1 week
• January – Dubai + Umrah (1 week)
• Eid break – ~2 weeks

And I still have ~15 working days leave left.

🔹 Travel benefit

This time my flight ticket was covered by company (annual benefit),
so I didn’t have to worry about cost — even though route was via Oman.

🔹 Important lesson

Know your rights.

Saudi system is structured and same for everyone.

Yes, some companies may try to play smart —
but don’t fall into that trap.

Always:

✔ Read your contract
✔ Understand your leave policy
✔ Use official systems
