Khabib Nurmagomedov is a retired Russian mixed martial artist and one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. Born on September 20, 1988, in Sildi, Dagestan, he was raised in a strict martial arts environment under the guidance of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. Khabib developed an unstoppable wrestling-based style, blending sambo, judo, and grappling with relentless pressure. He made his UFC debut in 2012 and quickly dominated the lightweight division. In 2018, Khabib became UFC Lightweight Champion after defeating Al laquinta. He successfully defended his title against Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje, remaining undefeated with a perfect 29-0 record. Known for his humility, discipline, and faith, Khabib retired in 2020, honoring his promise to his mother.
