خسوف القمر ظاهرة فلكية طبيعية، وهو آية من الله يُخيف بها عباده ليتذكروا عظمته وقدرته. وليس غضبًا منه ولا دليلًا على غضبه [1، 2]. وقد ورد في السنة النبوية أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لما رأى كسوف الشمس قام خائفًا، وبين أن هذه الآيات لا تُميت أحدًا ولا تُحييه، وإنما تُخيف عباده. فأمرهم باللجوء إلى الذكر والدعاء والاستغفار.
A lunar eclipse is a natural astronomical phenomenon, and it is a sign from God by which He frightens His servants so that they remember God's greatness and power. It is not anger from Him or evidence of God's anger [1, 2]. It was reported in the Sunnah of the Prophet that when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw a solar eclipse, he stood up in fear, and explained that these signs do not cause the death or life of anyone, but rather are to frighten His servants. Therefore, he ordered them to resort to remembrance, supplication, and seeking forgiveness.
