From July 3โ€“10, athletes from eight provinces, including Honiara, will come together under the theme โ€œRise Together.โ€ This yearโ€™s competition will showcase seven sporting codes, with athletes competing in world-class facilities developed for the Pacific Games.

Organisers have also introduced stricter eligibility requirements, ensuring athletes represent only their province of origin.

Members of the media were today given the first public tour of the new Naha Birthing and Urban Health Centre, offering a closer look at one of the country's largest health infrastructure projects.

The modern facility will feature 34 beds, dedicated birthing suites, an operating theatre, x-ray and ultrasound services, dental and eye clinics, a pharmacy, as well as antenatal and postnatal care services.

With an estimated cost of around SBD250 million, the centre is expected to significantly strengthen maternal and urban healthcare services, providing improved access to quality healthcare for families and communities.
