The Vaka Valo Association welcomes the Tepuke to Foxwood on its first stop! John Richard Saketala, Paramount Chief of North Guadalcanal, along with elders from Foxwood and surrounding communities, gathered to witness and support the Tepuke as it made its maiden voyage down to Honiara on Monday.

The Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting that will convene its 54th Annual Meeting in Honiara next week monday, this is now the third time Solomon Islands is hosting the Forum; the first was in 1979, the second in 1992, and now, after 33 years, the country is hosting it once again. Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture, Samson Viulu, says that the new V***r Heat Treatment will boost the trade and export sector in the country through agriculture. He confirmed that the government, through the ministry, is working to explore other Pacific countries to partner with in terms of exporting fresh fruits, and the first fruits in trial will be melon, pawpaw, and guava.
