After a year of geotechnical studies, technical assessments, and design work, the Bina Harbour Tuna Processing Plant Project has completed a concept design for the port, marine-side infrastructure, and onshore facilities. The design was presented to the projectโ€™s cross-government Technical Working Group (TWG) in Honiara in early December.

St Frances Vaturanga Community High School has already benefited after sports teacher Ben Huinodi became one of 21 participants to successfully complete the World Athletics CECS Level 1 Coaching course. Tavuli News extends its sincere appreciation to the Journalism and Media students from the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) who have successfully completed their six-month internship with our newsroom.

The partnership between SINU and Tavuli News saw three journalism students join the Tavuli News newsroom as part of the six-month internship program. The interns are enrolled in the Certificate in Journalism & Media, offered through the Faculty of Education and Humanities at SINUโ€™s Panatina Campus.

Tavuli News hopes the program has helped equip these young Solomon Islanders with valuable practical newsroom experience as they continue along their career pathways in the media industry.

We congratulate ๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ฅ๐™๐™š๐™ฃ ๐™†๐™–๐™ข๐™ค๐™–, ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ง๐™œ๐™–๐™ง๐™š๐™ฉ ๐™‰๐™ช๐™–๐™ ๐™š ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ข๐™ž๐™š๐™ฃ ๐™‡๐™ค๐™š on the successful completion of their internship and thank them for their commitment, enthusiasm and contribution to our news production over the past six months.
