It seems Government's explanations and reasoning to justify its Security deal with PRC is causing more confusing and alarm not only locally, but also around the region and the world. At home the bottom line is we will have foreign security stationed here and just how will it play out if for some reason, events down the line provoked them to engage and start killing people. How will our people take it? Who will be responsible? What are the rules of engagement? How will people see the government? Are we really addressing the root cause of the problem? What happen to traditional and Melanesian way of how we deal and handle problems. Some are even asking, are we really still a Democratic country? Our PM and DCGC, your hands are full as it is and the onus is on you to find the way to come down to our people and settle our minds before we can all move forward. Yes, " Power comes from the barrel of a gun" is a saying from a Chinese leader, but using it here against our own people is not a wise road to take.
