SATSOL Limited is proud to announce the signing of a three-year Agreement with the Solomon Islands National University (SINU), marking a significant step forward in strengthening digital connectivity for education across the country.
Under this agreement (May 2026 – May 2029), SATSOL will deliver a comprehensive suite of connectivity solutions, including remote access services, a failover secondary microwave link, and dedicated dark fibre infrastructure to support SINU’s expanding digital ecosystem.
This partnership will enhance internet access across SINU’s six remote learning centres — Noro, Buala, Gizo, Malu’u, Kirakira, and Poitete — ensuring students in provincial and remote areas benefit from more reliable and inclusive learning opportunities.
Additionally, the agreement includes a high-capacity secondary microwave link between SINU’s Kukum Campus and the SIG ICT Data Centre at Lengakiki, improving network resilience and ensuring continuity of services. A dedicated dark fibre connection will further strengthen SINU’s data centre operations with secure, high-speed connectivity.
SINU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Transform Aqorau, highlighted the importance of the partnership:
“This agreement is a significant milestone for SINU as we continue to expand access to quality education across the Solomon Islands. Reliable connectivity is critical to delivering flexible learning and ensuring that our students, regardless of location, have equal opportunities to succeed. Through this partnership with SATSOL, we are strengthening our infrastructure to better support teaching, learning, and research in a digital age.”
SATSOL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Pawel Smalinski, said:
“This agreement represents an important step in enabling more reliable and inclusive access to learning for students across SINU’s campuses and remote centres. We are extremely pleased to contribute to strengthening the digital infrastructure that supports teaching, learning, and active student participation in online environments.
At SATSOL, we maintain a constant focus on innovation and the delivery of high-quality, resilient technology solutions. We see this partnership not only as a service commitment, but as a collaborative effort to support SINU’s ongoing digital transformation and long-term connectivity needs.
Importantly, we view this as the beginning of a broader journey. We are committed to exploring and supporting further initiatives that will continue to strengthen digital inclusion and expand access to online learning across more communities and islands, contributing to sustainable development in the education sector.”
The SLA sets clear performance standards, including high uptime targets, rapid response times, and 24/7 monitoring and technical support, reinforcing SATSOL’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality connectivity solutions.
This collaboration reflects SATSOL’s ongoing commitment to supporting national development through robust digital infrastructure and strategic partnerships in the education sector.
