Xtra Big Brings *Tangaz* to Life at Barrel Nightclub

Seychellois artist Xtra Big brought the energy of his latest album, *Tangaz*, to Barrel Bar & Nightclub on 22 August 2026, giving fans one of the project’s first major live celebrations.

Released in June 2026, *Tangaz* is an ambitious 25-track album reflecting the experience, rhythm and personality of an artist who has spent years contributing to the Seychelles music industry. The Barrel event was more than an ordinary night out: it was an album celebration and a showcase of the continuing strength of local entertainment.

With DJ Randolph in the mix and Champion appearing as guest artist, the event created a space for Xtra Big to connect directly with his audience and bring the album beyond the recording studio.

The project includes songs such as “Tangaz,” “Al avan mon,” “Fer ou nide,” “Fer nou letan konte,” “Mank ou,” “Memwar,” “Rekonmanse,” “Kouto fit de kote,” “R.I.P,” “Wine It Up,” “Sirotman” and “Fer li bounce.” Its combination of reflective songs and dancefloor material gives listeners a broad picture of Xtra Big’s musical identity.

Several familiar names from the local music scene also appear on the album, demonstrating that *Tangaz* is connected to the wider community of Seychellois artists, performers and producers.

Xtra Big, whose real name has been publicly reported as Herrance Etienne, has also contributed to local music beyond his own performances. He was among the artists behind Big Vibes, introduced as Seychelles’ first online music store to help musicians distribute their work, fight piracy and earn more from their creations.

That history gives *Tangaz* greater significance. It represents the determination of Seychellois artists to produce, collaborate and remain visible in an industry increasingly influenced by streaming services and international content.

At Barrel, the message was clear: *Tangaz* is out, the stage is open, and Xtra Big remains an active part of the sound of Seychelles.
