"Luis Serrano is the creator of the renowned YouTube channel Serrano Academy, with over 180,000 followers and 7 million views. He is also the author of the Amazon Bestseller Grokking Machine Learning.
Luis has worked as an Artificial Intelligence leader and educator at companies that include Google, Apple, Udacity, Coursera and Cohere.
Luis has a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Michigan, a master’s and bachelor’s from the University of Waterloo. He won a bronze medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad. "

لويس حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الرياضيات من جامعة ميتشيغان، ودرجة الماجستير والبكالوريوس من جامعة واترلو. فاز بميدالية برونزية في الأولمبياد الدولي للرياضيات.

We are excited to introduce Nizar Habash! He is here to explain a very complex area of language study: the Introduction to Arabic NLP.

Topic: Introduction to Arabic NLP

Professor of Computer Science at New York University Abu Dhabi

Nizar Habash is a Professor of Computer Science. He specializes in natural language processing and computational linguistics, with a focus on Arabic and its dialects. Before joining NYUAD in 2014, he was a research scientist at Columbia University. He earned his PhD in Computer Science and holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Linguistics. His research spans machine translation, morphological analysis, and Arabic NLP. He has led/co-led over 30 research grants and authored 300+ publications, including "Introduction to Arabic Natural Language Processing." He received the King Salman Academy Award (2022) and the Antonio Zampolli Prize (2024). www.nizarhabash.com.

أستاذ علوم الحاسوب في جامعة نيويورك أبوظبي

نزار حبش أستاذ علوم الحاسوب ،مُتخصّص في مُعالجة اللغات الطبيعية واللغويات الحاسوبية، مع التركيز على اللغة العربية ولهجاتها. قبل انضمامو إلى جامعة نيويورك أبوظبي عام ٢٠١٤، كان باحث أكاديمي في جامعة كولومبيا. حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في علوم الحاسوب، وحصل على درجتي البكالوريوس في هندسة الحاسوب واللغويات. أبحاثو تشمل الترجمة الآلية، والتحليل الصرفي، ومعالجة اللغات الطبيعية العربية. قاد/شارك في قيادة أكثر من ٣٠ منحة بحثية، وألّف أكثر من ٣٠٠ منشور، من ضمنها "مُقدّمة في معالجة اللغات الطبيعية العربية". حاز على جائزة أكاديمية الملك سلمان (٢٠٢٢) وجائزة أنطونيو زامبولي (٢٠٢٤). www.nizarhabash.com.
