‘Holding on’ The B-side to OB & Moug’s latest release.

The underlying theme of the release is simply the up and down nature of life. When things aren’t okay, it can be a struggle to keep it moving. James (Moug) and I both find solace in making music, as well as in our friendship, especially when times are tough.
“Holding On”, has more of a raw and heartfelt feel to it, serving as a reminder that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“Better Days” is an ode to the good times, as can be heard through the uplifting and organic mixture of sounds we drew for.
On the other hand, Sonically, a lot of the elements on both tracks have been played in using hardware, mainly James’ Dave Smith Prophet. We both consider ourselves “musical”, but James’s background lends itself more to playing it in live than mine. I also love sampling, so this has made teaming up really interesting for us.
