'No, Prime Minister, we did not “lose lives” on 7/7 as if they were tragically misplaced in a bureaucratic mishap. They were murdered—deliberately, violently, and in cold blood—by men who hated what this country stands for.'

Should we be marking bloody events such as the UK’s 7/7 or the USA’s 9/11? We do these things, it is said, to ‘honour the dead’. Clearly, those who lost loved ones will never forget, and the gap in their lives will mean every day is a memorial. But the tragically unfortunate souls who died

'For anyone vaguely on the Right, Farage is repeatedly telling us he is not our man. He is incredibly careful to appease the Muslim community, whilst openly despising anyone to the Right of Rory Stewart. As I say, some maintain this is all a game, but if so it is the wrong game.'

No one ever believes that I have never voted Tory, but it’s true. Yet today, with Reform having lost perhaps the last of its actually Right wing MPs in James McMurdock, and Farage admitting in the New Statesman that Jenrick will outflank him from the Right (something I called last September), it s...

With Mrs Watson 'hogging the remote control', Professor Roger Watson is forced to sit through the Wimbledon fortnight.

Wimbledon is upon us and, with Mrs Watson hogging the television and the means to control it, it is on all the time. Is there a stupider game than tennis? Probably not. But I still like to watch it. But only Wimbledon; no other competition interests me. Ace serves, drop shots, forehand smashes, voll...

'Norman Tebbit was the last of a dying breed of politicians, emblematic of a lost England which knew what it was and what it stood for.'

The Conservative Party has lost a titan, while the nation laments the passing of one of the last true characters in politics - a man who could make a socialist blush and a trade unionist quiver with a single arched eyebrow. Norman Beresford Tebbit (Baron Tebbit CH PC to give him his dues) has shuffl...

'Entrepreneurs don’t have to risk their business idea in the UK, even if it might be home. Nobody has to set up in business, and they only will if the ‘seedbed’ is attractive.'

03 July 2025 Rt.Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP, Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street, London, SW1A 1AA. Dear Prime Minister, Thank you for your letter of 5 June, attached, responding to my letter of 14 March. I regret to say that despite what you say in your second paragraph, that you are committed to

'Whilst history has always had its malcontents and weirdos, the 21st century really does feel like the ‘fin de siècle’ times. Previously it was only the well-heeled and geniuses who had the spare time to be lunatics. Yet now everyday brings another genocide, knife attack and episode of Meghan’s cooking serial ‘With Love’.'

Jean Paul Sartre said that hell was other people. Did he live in Montecito near to Harry and Meghan? Schopenhauer thought existence an endless cycle of suffering. No wonder nobody attended his lectures at the University of Berlin, where he scheduled the death fests at the same time as Hegel's. Schop...

'Regrettably with Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin and Gerry Adams unavailable, that means Corbyn will need to be a bit more creative with the shadow cabinet. Rumours are that he is in discussion with Ayatollah Khamenei – Minister for Women and Equalities, keen to relocate, as well as Salman Abedi (Home Secretary) and Anjem Choudary (Foreign Secretary), both of whom are willing to ‘work from home’.'

As I wrote in the aftermath of last year’s general election, the real story was not the right-wing political fracture but the emergence of sectarian voting: “The realpolitik of the Muslim block vote was not wasted on Jeremy Corbyn, who not only won his Islington seat on a pro-Palestine ticket, b...

'What passes for music now seems to be either a couple of black guys with their shirts off exhorting people to “kill the IDF” or some Irish arseholes in balaclavas saying much the same thing. Too bad if you don’t agree.'

It is now safe to put the TV on again. Glastonbury is over. What passes for music now seems to be either a couple of black guys with their shirts off exhorting people to “kill the IDF” or some Irish arseholes* in balaclavas saying much the same thing. Too bad if you don’t agree. Music,

'Racism does not preclude one from being right or wrong. Biases may lead us astray, certainly, but they may also guide us to uncomfortable truths. Prejudices and stereotypes exist for a reason: a natural response to an unbalanced world. If Blacks are overrepresented in crime, Muslims in r**e gangs, or pro-Palestinians ever so slightly antisemitic – is that the fault of the people who notice it, or the perpetrators?'

I sometimes despair at my conservative colleagues, but never more so than when they mishandle accusations of ‘racism’. Being in favour of an inquiry into Muslim r**e gangs “isn’t racist” according to Rupert Lowe. Phew! We can all sleep soundly in our beds, safe in the knowledge that we hav...

'If the Covid Inquiry is to have any level of public trust, it must look beyond the tidy explanations and be willing to confront the uncomfortable complexities of what happened in our care homes.'

Does anyone remember the UK Covid-19 Inquiry? Remarkably, it is still going on. Starting in June 2023, two years ago, it is being run under ten modules, and this week it had only started the public hearings related to Module 6. The module has been running since the end of last year. Nobody knows whe...

'Today’s psychology culture has no interest in objectivity, particularly when boy shaming is on the agenda. Australia’s Labour Government is currently throwing money at school programmes attacking boys for toxic masculinity and this type of research is just what it needs to justify this dangerous social engineering.'

How refreshing to discover an anti-feminist psychiatrist. Very few people in the ‘helping professions’ have the courage to openly oppose the prevailing orthodoxy. Hannah Spier is well placed to do so because the Norwegian psychiatrist is currently taking time out from her career to raise her thr...

'Bias infests the curriculum. We are being encouraged to adhere to groupthink and discouraged from expressing our own beliefs. Schools should stick to providing education, personal development (including critical thinking), socialisation, preparation and opportunities to learn. They should not be centres of cultural and political indoctrination.'

J.B Priestley’s An Inspector Calls is a Left-wing manifesto that students are forced to read for GCSE. In the play, Priestley uses younger characters to illustrate to his readers, especially the young, the importance of adopting the same views and to criticise the upper and middle classes, represe...
