*NEW EPISODE* a brilliantly honest insight by on opening and running a restaurant as the reality behind the process - the real highs and lows and mindset you need to sustain them.

Roop came to London to start his vision and idea for an authentic, deeply personal but also accessible Indian dining concept. Just as he signed the lease on the old Holborn town hall building we were plunged into lockdown…. Not the easiest of circumstances to say the least.

We talk a lot about family - the restaurant is inspired by the travel tales of Roop's father, an Indian Army officer Col. Manbeer Choudhary and his wife Mrs. Binny Choudhary across the Indian subcontinent. Colonel Saab is a “love letter” to his family, as well as homage to India.

Roop is a wonderful talker - listen for an amazing insight into this world and the beautiful stories behind the concept. Thank you, Roop, for sharing.

Back with a workplace special on a topic so many individuals and businesses are talking about and grappling with - sustainability. Over the last few years, and rightly so, becoming more sustainable has been prioritised by many businesses - often driven by consumers and employees. And individuals are looking to align their careers more with their own personal values.

Shannon Houde works specifically as a consultant in this field and has helped many business leaders and individuals understand how they can lay the foundations for real and meaningful change.

Listen if this resonates with you and you believe your business or yourself could and should be making changes that make a better impact. Thank you Shannon for taking the time.

Let’s talk about… imposter syndrome. Regardless of whether you agree with the name or not the feelings it creates are real and prominent amongst all - not just women as is often believed. Imposter syndrome is the persistent feeling that you’re not good enough or achieving enough - and in this podcast details her experience as a coach working to support those who feel this way and the environmental factors that contribute.

Conflict at work… it’s tough. Especially when you can feel powerless in knowing how to navigate it/ work through it without feeling confrontational. I personally believe it can be one of the biggest sources of stress at work - usually by simply not resolving it.

As part of a mini series on work topics, this weeks episode is with the fantastic Lisa Robyn Wood, a qualified business and performance coach who runs - and we discuss how you address and resolve conflict in the workplace.

Great chat and some good tips if you are facing this at the moment and want support.

Do you love horses / horse racing? As someone that only really dabbles with a bet on the Grand National this chat was really eye opening for me and I loved it.

I had the privilege of chatting with Lucinda Russell, a hugely accomplished and successful horse trainer based up in Kinross. Lucinda - together with her husband Peter Scudamore, an eight time champion jockey who rode 1678 winners in his career - run LRR which trains and prepares national hunt horses. Lucinda has trained over seven hundred winners including nine graded winners and winners at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals so absolutely top of her game in this space and the chat was fascinating learning what goes into that process, the huge benefits of getting to work with horses and understanding them and what they need, why she says a horse will only race if it wants to, what goes into the training, what happens when a horse can’t race, and of course what she believes are the attributes you need to work in this space.

Would love to know your thoughts on this world - do you agree with horse racing? Has this chat changed your perception at all? Also, it’s National Racehorse Week - you can read up more at http://www.nationalracehorseweek.uk/
