β Angels are for Real β
It was in 2008-2009 was the very down moment of our life π’
From a beautiful country Philippines π΅π, I travelled millions of miles to search for a greener pastures π¬π§ . In 2004 , with a heavy heart a left my two young children and my husband in Philippines hoping to save a lot of money in order to give a better life and education for my children .
UK was a promised land for me π
As a registered nurse , I work day and night , no breaks and no complaints .
There are a lot of challenges along the way , home sickness has hit me hard π’
I have to stay strong and focus . With God as my only refuge day by day π
In 2006 my husband has joined me and left my two beautiful children under the care of my mother . Unfortunately my mother passed away in 2008, so we have to bring the children with us back to the UK .
2008, marks the deep recession π¬π§ Big business are closing . A lot of people are losing their jobs . Immigration policies has changed .
I have lost my job because of immigration problem, the company that I was working was under administration and because of that they are not qualified to sponsor immigrants like us , thus leads to refusal of my applications for visa extension .
It was hard ! π
Really hard ! π
with no money coming in, how about my bills? My rent ? Our food? π’π’π’ the children ???
I was about to give up , but I was looking at my two beautiful young children looking at me , with no clue at all whatβs going on.
πMy first Angel πΌ
βGod will not give you problems that you cannot bear , because He will always give you the strength to carry on .β
As no income coming in , no money for bills and foods , we were late with rent . I remember our flat is above the butcher . My landlord was checking on us everyday when he realised our situation . And for whatever miracle , he said to me β Mary you can stay in my flat with your family while you are waiting for the result of your visa with β NOβ rent π±. He then said do not worry for your gas and electric , you can use it free of charge π±
Every afternoon before he closed the butcher he will always give us a bag of meat π₯© and always concerned about the welfare of the kids .
No access to public funds β¦ we have to survive everyday whatever help comes in our door . I remember my husband was working part time in kfc , and he will always bring the left over chicken as our food π’
I prayed for help and God sent me my landlord π₯° he was my first angel π
For my second angel πΌ?
Stay tuned . Follow me for more sharing of my life journey and how those struggles brought me into a beautiful life π
