In a sensational semifinal showdown in Casablanca, Nigeria edged out South Africa 2–1 thanks to Houston Dash forward Michelle Alozie’s breathtaking long-range strike in the 94th minute.

The goal came just as extra time loomed, sealing Nigeria’s spot in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations final.

Rasheedat Ajibade opened the scoring with a penalty just before halftime. South Africa equalized in the 60th minute, but Alozie’s late-game heroics clinched the victory.

Nigeria now targets a record-extending 10th WAFCON title. Meanwhile, heart-wrenching moments unfolded as South Africa’s Gabriela Salgado required urgent medical attention after suffering a serious injury late in the match.
