From rising rents to long GP waits, antisocial behaviour to fly-tipping — the people of Barking and Dagenham are facing real, everyday struggles.
💬 We hear it on every doorstep:
🔹 Housing is unaffordable
🔹 Streets feel less safe
🔹 NHS waits are too long
🔹 Local amenities need investment
🔹 Fly-tipping & waste management are a constant headache
🏛️ What’s the council doing about it?
✅ Building new council homes, including affordable rent units
✅ Expanding CCTV and launching enforcement patrols to tackle antisocial behaviour
✅ Supporting NHS outreach & community health hubs
✅ Introducing stricter fly-tipping fines and more street cleaning crews
✅ Investing in youth programmes & skills training to support local employment
