Revelations Of Divine Love is the next track from ‘Endless Joy’ we are featuring on our Bandcamp page.

‘Endless Joy’ by Luke Abbott/Lotte Betts-Dean/Jack Wyllie blends music recorded as a trio which is inspired by the writings of Julian of Norwich, in particular ‘Revelations of Divine Love’, some of the earliest surviving English-language works attributed to a woman.

Hi everyone. I couldn’t be more excited to introduce this new band and record to Salmon Universe. I was already a huge fan of Luke Abbott’s music before I met him, notably his seminal record Holkham Drones. Years later he would form the group Szun Waves - with my brother Laurence and Jack Wyllie (Portico Quartet) Jack is also part of my trio with JQ in case you didn’t know. Australian Lotte Betts-Dean is a world renowned classical vocalist who has had an incredible year touring and first worked on this music with Jack and Luke at Snape Maltings in Suffolk thanks to .nwll and . It’s a beautiful record that encompasses a mixture of art classical electroacoustic music, and is a beautiful addition for our label. We can’t wait for you to hear it.

Salmon Universe are excited to announce our next release:

‘Endless Joy’ is the latest album by Luke Abbott, which sees the Norfolk-based artist collaborating with internationally renowned classical vocalist Lotte Betts-Dean and Jack Wyllie (of Szun Waves/Portico Quartet/Forgiveness) to create an album shaped by the history of east England.

The album blends music recorded as a trio which is inspired by the writings of Julian of Norwich, in particular ‘Revelations of Divine Love’, some of the earliest surviving English-language works attributed to a woman, alongside Abbott’s solo prepared piano works, that were recorded in the Red House studio in Aldeburgh, said to be haunted by the ghost of 20th Century painter Mary Potter.

Written and performed during a residency at Britten Pears Arts in Snape Maltings, Suffolk, the trio will perform at Norfolk Festival on May 22nd with the album release due the following day Friday 23rd May. A London show announced soon.

Endless Joy will be released by on 23rd May 2025 via CD and digital download. Head to our Bandcamp to preorder an listen to first track ‘Endless Joy‘💿
