Turn On Two-Factor Authentication....

“One setting change that can stop most account takeovers.”

Your password alone may not be enough to protect your account.

If someone gets your password through phishing, a data breach, or a reused password, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds another layer of protection.

- Open your account’s Security settings
-Find Two-Factor Authentication / 2-Step Verification
- Turn it on
- Set up an authenticator app, passkey, or another supported verification method

Even if your password is compromised, the attacker still has another barrier to overcome.

Don’t wait until your account is hacked. Turn on 2FA today.

YOUR BANK TEXTED YOU? DON’T CLICK THAT LINK!

You receive a text:

“Suspicious activity has been detected on your account. Click here immediately to verify your identity.”

It looks genuine.
The logo looks familiar.
The message sounds urgent.

But that link could take you straight to a fake banking website designed to steal your login details.

Remember:

STOP. DON’T CLICK. VERIFY.

Instead:

- Open your banking app yourself.
- Type the bank’s official website address yourself.
- Contact your bank using an official phone number or website.

Don't use the link or phone number provided in the suspicious message.

Scammers rely on panic and urgency to make you act before you think.

One click can turn a suspicious message into a serious problem.

Sarah was relaxing at home when her phone suddenly buzzed.

She opened WhatsApp and saw:
“Congratulations! 🎉 You’ve won £5,000! Click this link to claim your prize NOW!”
For a moment, Sarah got excited.
“£5,000? Wow!”

Then she stopped.
“Wait… I didn't even enter a competition.”
She looked at the message again. Unknown number. Urgent language. A link asking her to claim the money.

Sarah thought:
“Hmm… this looks suspicious.” 🤔
So she didn't click the link.
Instead, she deleted the message and blocked the number.

The lesson?
Scammers often use exciting offers, fear or urgency to make you act before you think.

Don't let the promise of ÂŁ5,000 cost you your money or your personal information.

The Text Message That Looked Innocent....

Sarah was waiting for a parcel when her phone buzzed.

“Your delivery could not be completed. Please pay £1.99 to reschedule your delivery.”

There was a link underneath.

Sarah almost clicked it.

Then she stopped.

“Why would I need to pay just £1.99?”

Instead of using the link, she opened the delivery company’s official website and checked her tracking number.

Her parcel was already on its way.

The message was a scam.

Sarah deleted it and reported the number.

The lesson?

Scammers know that a small payment can make a message look harmless.

Don’t let £1.99 fool you.

- Don’t click the link.
- Verify through the company’s official website or app.
- Never enter your card details through a link in an unexpected message.

One small click can lead to a much bigger problem.

Your WhatsApp Account Could Be Taken Over....

Imagine waking up to find that someone else is using your WhatsApp account , messaging your contacts, pretending to be you, and potentially asking them for money.

A WhatsApp takeover can happen when criminals trick you into sharing your 6-digit verification code, scan your WhatsApp QR code, or gain access to your account through social engineering.

Protect your WhatsApp:

- Never share your 6-digit verification code with anyone.
- Turn on Two-Step Verification.
- Be suspicious of unexpected requests from friends or family.
- Don't scan unfamiliar WhatsApp QR codes.
- Review Linked Devices regularly.
- If someone asks for a code, stop and verify independently.

Remember: WhatsApp will never need you to give your verification code to another person.

If your account is taken over, act quickly , don't wait for the attacker to cause more damage.

Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram and other social media accounts contain more than just photos and posts.

They can hold personal information, private conversations and details that criminals can use against you.

If your account is compromised, criminals may:
- Impersonate you
- Scam your friends and family
- Access private information
- Send phishing links from your account
- Use your account to target others

If you suspect your account has been hacked, act quickly. Change your password, secure your email account, enable 2-factor authentication (2FA), and check your account for suspicious activity.
