GOVERNOR MANYTUIL ARRIVES IN KOCH COUNTY FOR PEACE MISSION.

Koch County, June 14, 2026

The Governor of Unity State, Joseph Manytuil Wejang, arrived in Koch County on Sunday as part of his statewide tour aimed at assessing the status of social services and gathering first-hand information on the challenges facing local communities.

Addressing the gathering at Koch Freedom Square who accord him a ceremonial reception, Governor Manytuil commended the Jagei community for maintaining peace and harmony with neighboring communities.

The Governor acknowledged the difficult humanitarian situation facing Koch County and pledged his administration's commitment to improving the provision of social services in the area.

"It is very unfortunate to learn that the critically important Koch County Hospital has been downgraded to a Primary Health Care Unit, making it unable to effectively carry out its mandate," Governor Manytuil stated.

Governor Manytuil also appealed to members of the Jagei community who are in opposition to unite with the county authorities and work together in the interest of the community.

He emphasized that his administration remains committed to promoting peace, reconciliation, and development across the state.

The Governor was accompanied by senior state government officials and commanders of the organized forces during the visit.

Dr. Joseph Manytuil, led a high-level delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan and Chairperson of the Infrastructure Cluster, H.E. Gen. Taban Deng G*i, at his residence in Manga, Wathnyoatni Payam, Guit County. The esteemed delegation comprised senior commanders of the organized forces, state government officials, and the commissioners of both Guit and Rubkona counties. This significant visit marks the Governor's first formal meeting with the Vice President since his arrival in Unity State, underscoring the strong collaboration and unity between the state leadership and the national government.

During the visit, Governor Dr. Joseph Manytuil extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Vice President for his unwavering commitment to community development and self-reliance through sustainable agriculture. H.E. Gen. Taban Deng G*i is currently in the state to actively engage in farming initiatives as the agricultural season officially commences. Sub: Response about the totem that circulated on social media

I wishes to address recent concerns regarding the illegal use of the County Association totem, also known as the county emblem. We want to clarify that the emblem is a symbol of our community’s identity and authority, and its use is strictly regulated by the county authorities upon its approval in 2023 by the members and adopted by the authority.

Our symbol, the Giant Elephant, is regarded as a positive omen within our community. It symbolizes good luck, strength, and wisdom, and holds deep cultural significance for the people of Mayiandit County.
Additionally, I acknowledge that our County Football Association is popularly known as G*in Elephant. Am encourage all members of our community to support and promote our local sports organizations responsibly and with respect to their symbols and branding.

Unauthorized use of the county emblem is deemed illegal and poses a serious threat to the integrity and unity of our community. I strongly condemns any such misuse and affirms my commitment to taking all necessary legal and administrative measures to prevent, address, and penalize violations related to the improper use of our symbols.

And my advise to all media, users, and members to disregard any messages or designed aims that seek to create friction and misrepresent our county emblem. Such actions are treated as enemies of peace and progress. I urge the individuals or groups engaging in such activities and does not endorse or support any efforts aimed at destabilizing or tarnishing the reputation of our symbols.

I call on all individuals and organizations to respect the official symbols of Mayiandit County and to seek proper authorization before using the emblem.

The leadership of Mayendit Youths Association, Juba’s office has paid affectionate visit to the new SPOC’s GM, Amb. Tek Nhial in his office.

The leadership’s visit was purposely a convey of congratulatory message to the Ambassador on his appointment as General Manager for operations and exploration at SPOC.

Amb. Tek Nhial underwent series of obstacles during his appointment. Despite all the setback and delay he had surpassed assuming his role from march to April, his self discipline, commitment, determination and dedication stood out and succeeded against all the odds. He’s today standing out a true warrior, and crowned champion.

The land wishes him swift ladder in his future magnificent career, Gatwec in diit.

Your country had been be in enormous mess.
Because Dr. John was at once entrusted,
Dr. Machar to be a Vice President for the South.
Illy do you know, Machar turned down the trust and gave it to H.E. Salva Kiir. Now Salva is the president of the KUSH LAND and the possibilities to the life and death of the citizens is in his hands 🙌.

We’re every year celebrating liberation of this country with hearts full of
unrecoverable hatred,
Unearned ignorance,
unspoken laws,
Immature hunger,
Expensive corruption from those entrusted with public offices,
Gunshots every-now and then at a distance of 5mins from the residence of president,
Security of next morning is a responsibility to every citizen,
Government see itself as a prior problem to the citizens and always engulfed themselves with expensive weapons, weapons supposedly to be at the boarders, or at military equipment bases,
The general population is turned to vulnerable people,
Because there’s no right of citizens’ expression,
You can’t protest as a citizen otherwise you will be handle with light bullet like an outlaws sentenced,
The motto of citizens has become “WE SHALL OVER COME IT”.

Why don’t we underscore a little about Economics rise/hardships?
Why do the come-in of treasure’s officials turned to be the rise of economic?
Why do the south Sudanese’s pounds downgraded when it’s suppose to have gained a value over US dollars?
I want to little talk about the first undersecretary of finance and planning, could he be this cause?
I didn’t satisfy myself, but a little, I, doubted here.
Some said, the circle in the presidency is the cause to this.
Some still ask a question, like how?
The explanation goes on….
Some said, why was treasury minister removed after brought that huge amout of dollars from abroad?
I, and most others out-there, still in unfixed ponder.
And why is the new treasurer not assuming the responsibility after his appointment? And the questions are yet endless…
Some said, can we end this stress here?
Others said, better stop it at this end since we aren’t capable changing any bit of this heartbroken 😔 crises.
Most said, “WE SHALL OVERCOME IT ”,
