At our inaugural National Restaurant Rising Stars event hosted by three special category awards were handed out on the day ✨

The Rising Star award winner in the chef category was Lulu Perry .u.l.u_05 🏆

At just 21 years of age Lulu Perry is already an important team member at two Michelin-starred restaurant .wong_londonuk. Chef-patron says Perry possesses a very good palate and excellent taste memory and has been training under one of the country’s best dim sum chefs, Mei Lan, the restaurant’s executive dim sum chef.

While the Hackney restaurant is fully open to the public, it also has a membership element with regulars signing up to access on-site wine storage, preferential corkage rates, priority reservations and members-only dinners 🍽️

Chefs and restaurateurs were asked to nominate members of their team who they thought deserved special recognition, with a panel of experts creating a final shortlist of entries. At a special lunch held at 21 brilliant chefs, sommeliers and front of house team members were awarded with a star ⭐️
