The cast sounds epic, the orchestra is on point, and I managed to ‘fix’ one of the church lights, so the soloists will be illuminated on film. Should be a great evening!

A brief look back at the last audition tape session of 2024, bringing the running total of singers who recorded demos with me this year to 283!

The editing never ceases, of course, but for the next few weeks that’s all I’ll be doing other than recharging batteries (both actual and metaphorical).

Bookings for 2025 are open, be it through .recording.days or directly with me. A couple of CD/streaming releases are in the pipeline, some exciting projects already in the diary for next year, so bring on the new year, I say 🥳

Ok, so I forgot to take a session photo, the day ran away from me, but WAIT! First up is the obligatory somehow-related-to-work photo, and seeing as I’m out recording again tomorrow, first order of business is to charge batteries and offload data.

But as a thank you for putting up with such a rubbish photo, I’ve added a photo of our new (almost 11-year-old, though) doggie. You’re welcome!

There it is, the wireless video transmitter that lets me keep an eye on the performance visuals while staying out of the performers’ field of view.
